Marc Roca, a midfielder for Leeds United, will have a physical on Monday in Seville as he gets ready to join Real Betis,
according to the Daily Express.
Following the club’s relegation from the Premier League, Roca has been predicted to leave Elland Road and join La Liga.
Having finally landed in Spain, the former Bayern Munich midfielder has been scheduled to undergo a physical on Monday
by Real Betis.
As long as Roca comes through the medical checks he will then be able to put pen to paper to a loan contract.
The loan agreement Real Betis have with Leeds also contains an option to buy, although what level the fee is set at is
unclear; they did explore an outright permanent transfer.
Roca only arrived at Elland Road last summer as former director of football Victor Orta looked to replace Kalvin Phillips.
He made 32 appearances for Leeds in the Premier League last season, being booked seven times, as the Whites were
relegated.
It remains to be seen if Real Betis will trigger the option to buy and keep Roca in La Liga permanently.

As he took off on Sunday night to complete his loan departure from Leeds United, Marc Roca was seen at the Seville airport.
The Spanish midfielder has been mentioned in connection with a La Liga transfer for some time now, and El Desmarque
stated on Sunday, July 16, that he was scheduled to land in Spain that day to finalize the transaction.
Then, as part of his new club’s preseason tour, he is anticipated to return to England. There is now visual proof that the first
component of the equation has gone according to the most recent schedule.
ABC de Sevilla journalist Mateo Gonzalez posted on Twitter photo of the former Bayern Munich man holding a Real Betis
scarf with his luggage at the airport along with the caption: “Marc Roca is already in Seville to sign for Betis.”
Roca’s departure can be added to the list with the likes of Brenden Aaronson to Union Berlin, Robin Koch to Eintracht
Frankfurt, plus Rasmus Kristensen and Diego Llorente both to Roma, as players who struggled last season and have made
relatively early loan departures.
Of those who have left Leeds United so far this summer it is only really Rodrigo’s permanent sale to Al Rayyan in Qatar that
has definitively weakened Daniel Farke’s options.
The German will need to replace the leavers in his squad, but after a campaign when all too many Whites players
underperformed not every exit is a major blow.
Roca had some strong games but despite being a regular fixture throughout the season he was never truly able to impose
himself on the Premier League.
Although there were some deficiencies in central midfield prior, it was once the 26-year-old was left alongside Weston
McKennie following Tyler Adams’ injury that he was badly exposed at times.
Hopes are increasing that the latter of the two Americans may stay at Elland Road for the promotion push, but either way
Roca’s long-expected move is now looks to be on the brink of being made official.
In other Leeds United news, it may now cost as little as £4million for the Whites to land an “outstanding” long-term target
this summer.
