MOHAMED Salah scored his 200th goal for Liverpool in the 2-1 win at Crystal Palace yesterday, but I don’t feel he has been at his best so far this season.
He now has 11 Premier League goals and that is a great return at this stage of the season, but the Salah we saw at Selhurst Park was not the magical match-winner we saw when he arrived at the club.
Mo has become a player who throws in the odds moment of magic and there are long periods in games when he is not making an impact.
That may be down to the fact he is not as young as he once was, but Liverpool need Salah to be firing on all cylinders if they are to maintain a title challenge.
He is now three behind Erling Haaland in the Golden Boot race and if Salah can get 25-30 Premier League goals this season, Liverpool will have a real chance to push for the title.
There are so many goals in this team and Salah has become the cherry on the top of the cake.
I still believe we could be witnessing Salah’s final year in a Liverpool jersey and I fully expect Saudi Arabia to come back in with another offer for him next summer.
Liverpool could not turn down £200million again if the Saudi’s make the same offer they presented to try and get Mo a few months back.
So Liverpool fans should every moment of Salah magic as one of Liverpool’s all-time great players might not be here for much longer.
