Real Madrid ready to offer €80 million-plus for Liverpool player
Real Madrid are one of the most in-form teams in all of Europe right now despite their clear issues with squad depth and injuries.
The club deserve a lot of credit for that but at the same time, it is not ideal.
We saw them make a brilliant start last season as well only to fade away in the second half of the campaign.
Let’s see if they can maintain the pace this time around.
One would hope that Real Madrid end up strengthening their squad over upcoming transfer windows. There are several positions where they are light on options.
The club need to find a long-term replacement for Dani Carvajal sooner or later.
And it appears that one of Liverpool’s best players is in their sights.
As reported by Fichajes, Real Madrid would be willing to put an offer of more than €80 million on the table for Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Trent’s current deal with Liverpool is believed to run out in the summer of 2025.
And he is yet to sign an extension with his boyhood club.

Over the years, Trent has received quite a bit of criticism for the defensive side of his game.
Yet, he has remained a key player of Liverpool, who continue to be one of the best teams in the Premier League.
Going forward, Trent is one of the best and most effective full-backs we have ever seen.
And while it feels like he has been around for a long time, the Liverpool player is still just 25. So, it is very possible that he has not reached his prime yet.
It remains to be seen if Real Madrid do make a move for Trent in the future.
He is not the only right-back they have been linked with in recent times though.

Sky Sports reporter says Liverpool will soon have a ‘decision’ to make regarding 21-y/o ‘role model’
Liverpool will have ‘some sort of decision’ to make in January regarding the future of a current Reds player, that’s according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth.
The Reds are currently well stocked in the attacking department which led to Fabio Carvalho being loaned out for the season to Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig in the summer.
The 21-year-old only joined Liverpool from Fulham last summer but struggled for regular game time as Jurgen Klopp’s side missed out on a top four finish and failed to pick up any silverware.
Carvalho is certainly a player for the future but Sheth believes a decision regarding his future could be made in the coming months.
The Lisbon-born talent headed to Germany to get minutes under his belt in a competitive environment but has started just two games across all competitions.
He’s yet to register a goal or an assist and it’s fair to say things haven’t quite gone to plan for him so far.
The Portugal international, who our German tactician has previously labelled as a ‘role model’ due to his impressive attitude in training, registered a goal contribution every other game for Fulham when they earned promotion back to the top-flight two years ago so it’s rather bizarre to see his career somewhat stall.
There’s no doubt that he’s a quality player but it’s just a case of finding a spot for him in Klopp’s side with the amount of quality we already have at the top end of the pitch.
He may very well be one for the future but it’ll be interesting to see whether he’s patient enough to wait round for his opportunity.
