Good news: LFC have agreed a deal to sign a world class star player from one of the biggest clubs in Europe

According to Italian media, Liverpool are concerned about the future of one of their prized assets.

Juventus is concerned that Liverpool will try to sign their “world-class” player in 2024.
Could this be the ideal signing for the Reds?

The Reds are still stinging from Sunday’s disappointing 1-1 Premier League draw away to Luton Town, which cost them vital points in the title race. It was a result that demonstrated why Jurgen Klopp’s team is still lacking in certain areas, particularly at the heart of the midfield, with Alexis Mac Allister not looking like a natural No.6.

Liverpool’s attack also struggled, with Mohamed Salah putting in one of his quietest performances of the season, Diogo Jota struggling to get into the game, and Darwin Nunez squandering a golden opportunity to put his team ahead in the second half.

When Luis Diaz isn’t playing, there’s often a lack of natural width – the Colombian added some quality and scored the equalizer in memorable fashion at Kenilworth Road – and it’s possible that the club will look to sign someone in that position once the January transfer window opens.

There is also the possibility of Salah leaving for Saudi Arabia at the end of the season, after much interest in him during the summer, so a long-term replacement may be required.

Juve is concerned that Liverpool will sign Chiesa.

According to a new update from Calciomercato, Liverpool are still interested in signing Juventus star Federico Chiesa, with the Serie A giants concerned that a move to Anfield would change his mind.

According to the report, Juventus and their manager, Massimiliano Allegri, are “scared” of the possibility of the Italian trading them for the Reds, with Chiesa previously linked with a move to Liverpool. If the Merseysiders lose Salah to the iches of the Middle East next summer, the Italy star appears to be on the shortlist of replacements.

Chiesa’s stats throughout his career demonstrate his pedigree as a footballer, with 26 goals and 21 assists in 104 appearances for Juventus. Prior to that, he had 34 and 25 in 153 appearances for Fiorentina, and he also won Euro 2020 with Italy.

Not only that, but former Italy international Alessandro Pierini has previously praised Chiesa, saying, “He’s world-class.” He possesses all of the talent and desire of a great player. If he continues to improve, he will surpass his father [Enrico]. I have a lot of respect for Enrico and everything he’s done to help Federico develop as a player up to this point.”

While not as prolific as Salah – very few are – Chiesa has the speed, directness, and end product to be a great signing, and while injuries have been an issue, he appears to have overcome the worst of them. With plenty more to come from him at 26, he represents a strong option for Liverpool if Salah leaves.
