Good news: An incredible £35 million star has “verbally agreed personal terms” to join Liverpool

Andre Trindade, a midfielder for Fluminense, has apparently “verbally agreed personal terms” with the Reds after confessing that he intended to join a major club, presumably Liverpool, during the summer transfer window.

Since the summer, Jurgen Klopp has placed the Brazilian at the center of his search for a new defensive midfield player. However, it appears that the 22-year-old is getting closer to joining Anfield than ever.

Alexis Mac Allister is the team’s temporary replacement for Fabinho, who left to join Al-Ittihad in the summer. He fills the position of a specialist operator in the no. 6 role.

Although many names have been connected to Liverpool, Andre appears to be the most likely candidate to join the team in January.

According to a recent interview, Andre desired to sign for Liverpool in the summer.

Although it has been widely reported that Fluminense prevented Andre from joining Liverpool, they still want to conduct business in the January transfer window after their season is over.

Midway through December, the Brazilian season comes to a conclusion, coinciding with the winter transfer window. But Andre’s summertime goal was to sign with Liverpool.

Speaking to CONMEBOL Libertadores through the Mirror, Andre at last spoke up on what happened during the summer when Liverpool showed interest.

He said: “In this past window I didn’t talk about [a transfer exit], the first time I’m going to talk in more depth will be now. It really was an irrefutable proposal from the club that plays in a big league.

“I think every player one day dreams of playing for a big club in Europe, in a big league. But I decided to keep my word because when the January window closed, [Fernando] Diniz (Fluminense manager) arrived and told me that he wanted me here until the end of the year. We didn’t know that a proposal of that amount would arrive and I told him that, regardless of what happened, I would be there until the end of the season.

“It ended up passing and arriving in the middle of the year, we were still in the round of 16 of the Copa Libertadores. It was a very difficult decision to make. I think if I had accepted this proposal, I don’t know if I would have felt 100% comfortable because I had already agreed with Diniz.

“He really values his word, his honesty. I know that when we do the right things, good things always happen. And in January he told me that without a doubt, if I stayed I would gamble and my value would increase.”

Well, it might not be long before he gets his wish if a recent claim is accurate.

Apparently, Liverpool and Andre have reached a personal terms agreement.

Although Francois Plateau clarifies that “nothing has been signed” and that Fluminense is in contact with other clubs, he claims that Liverpool and Andre have achieved a verbal understanding over a contract.

He first reported via Twitter, saying: “It is confirmed that André Trindade and Liverpool have verbally agreed on personal conditions.

He tweeted again shortly after, saying, “There have been no formal agreements signed.” Representatives from Fluminense and Trindade are also in contact with a few clubs, but at this point, no further details can be given.”

It will take time to see if Plateau’s allegation is credible.

Any and all reports that bolster or refute this assertion will be included to this story.

According to recent coverage by Anfield Central, Arsenal is among the teams interested in signing Andre. The sports director of the Gunners recently traveled to his native Brazil, where he visited Fluminense and other Brazilian clubs.

Whoever signs Andre will have to pay about €40 million (£35 million), although Arsenal’s interest may drive up Fluminense’s asking price if they think they can make more money off of his sale given the competition from two powerful Premier League teams for his signature.
