Daniel Farke faces the media today in his Ipswich Town pre-match press conference with Leeds United and here are some of the topics he may be faced with at Thorp Arch.
Daniel Farke faces the media on Thursday afternoon for his pre-match press conference. The Leeds United manager will take questions from television, radio, print and online journalists at Thorp Arch ahead of the Ipswich Town clash on Saturday.
Here is a run-down of some of the main topics on the agenda for the boss to address at the training ground today.
As ever, Farke is likely to be asked about the latest situation in the medical department. Tyler Adams’s weekend departure lightens the load in the treatment room to some degree, but there are still eight names that were missing from last week’s draw.
Junior Firpo, Liam Cooper, Patrick Bamford, Stuart Dallas and Mateo Joseph have long been seen as options for the other side of the international break. However, Crysencio Summerville, Ian Poveda and Leo Hjelde could still make it back before we break up after the Sheffield Wednesday fixture.
Bournemouth finally got their American over the line at the weekend. There had been some wrangling and speculation about how they came to get the deal done, however.
It had been understood the club’s relegation release clauses had expired before the Cherries could find the formula to trigger Adams’s option. However, the story rumbled on and the deal ultimately got done.
Farke is bound to be asked about the circumstances around it.
Earlier this week, it was reported Wilfried Gnonto had returned to first-team training with Farke’s group. The German will be asked about what has gone on behind the scenes with the Italian and what the future may hold if he has indeed been brought in from the cold.
While the talk of Gnonto’s return has grown legs, Luis Sinisterra has still, as far as we know, been training with Helder Costa, away from the main group. The Colombian was not asked about after Friday’s clash with West Bromwich Albion, so it’s fair to assume we are due an update from the manager today.
Transfers
We have eight days to go until the transfer window closes and United have been left on four new arrivals for the past fortnight. Farke will, inevitably, be pushed for a position on where the club is at as the final week approaches.
