Formal Star Angry: As Sadio Mané ‘marries his girlfriend’ after former Liverpool star ‘paid school bills’

Former Liverpool player Sadio Mané has wed his long-time girlfriend, Aisha Tamba.

The exact duration of the couple’s relationship remains undisclosed. The private nuptials took place in Keur Massar, a district in Senegal’s capital city, Dakar, just a week shy of the Africa Cup of Nations’ commencement.

According to Pulse Sports, Mané, now playing for Al-Nassr, not only won Aisha’s heart but also financed her education at a private college in Mbao. As a senior student there, Aisha’s academic journey was made easier by the footballer’s generosity.

Pictures from their intimate wedding ceremony were shared on Instagram by @Magvision_Evens_Officiel. The images capture moments of affection between the newlyweds — Mané kissing Aisha’s hands and snuggling close to her. One particular photo features the couple seated beneath a rose arrangement with ‘Mrs Mané’ emblazoned on the wall in gold.

Born in Casamance, a town adjacent to Mané’s birthplace, Aisha shares not only her husband’s Islamic faith but also his penchant for privacy. During his six-year tenure with Liverpool, which concluded in 2022, Mané kept his romantic life under wraps.

Back in 2022, when asked about his ideal life partner, Mané had stated (as per the Tribune): “I’ve seen a lot of girls asking me why I am not married, but sorry you might be wasting your time. The woman I marry will not be on social networks. I want to marry a woman who respects God and prays well. Everyone has their own way of making their choice of love.”

Mané, who had a brief stint with Bayern Munich post his Liverpool departure, is currently a part of the Saudi Arabian team Al-Nassr, alongside Cristiano Ronaldo. He joined the affluent Saudi team after a challenging year in Germany with Bayern.

While Mané gears up for the Africa Cup of Nations, his new wife Aisha is reportedly committed to continuing her studies. The 31-year-old’s first match as a married man will be against Gambia on January 15th.

Liverpool have been dealt a Trent Alexander-Arnold injury blow, but Jurgen Klopp might already have the perfect replacement in his squad.

The 25-year-old full-back endured a mixed 2022/23 season, but he has bounced back this term with a string of impressive performances while pushing into midfield.

Alexander-Arnold has provided nine assists and scored two goals in 25 appearances in all competitions, proving that he is one of the best creative players in the Premier League.

His fine form has helped Jurgen Klopp’s side establish a three-point lead at the top of the Premier League table, but he won’t be able to help his teammates over the coming weeks.

The England star suffered a knee injury during Liverpool’s 2-0 FA Cup third round win against Arsenal on Sunday.

“Trent hyperextended his knee, so he has a little tear in the lateral ligament of his knee,” said Liverpool assistant manager Lijnders.

“He had a scan. He will be out for probably three weeks. It’s a big blow. We will really miss him.

“We will have to find new dynamics without him because he made our game flexible. Even in bad spells, he was the one putting the balls where we needed the difference.

“He will get some rest and then hopefully he can come back to where he was. Because this guy was decisive in all the games and was the one who created constantly for us from deep.”

Alexander-Arnold’s absence is a major blow for Liverpool, who face Premier League tests against Bournemouth and Chelsea before the end of the month. Klopp’s side also have a two-legged Carabao Cup semi-final against Fulham plus a FA Cup fourth round tie against either Norwich or Bristol Rovers to think about.

Without his vice-captain, Klopp could turn to 20-year-old defender Conor Bradley. The youngster impressed with a 15-minute cameo against Arsenal, his ninth senior appearance for the club.

The Northern Ireland international joined Liverpool in 2019 from boyhood club Dungannon Swifts, and two years later, he made his Liverpool debut in a Champions League group stage meeting with AC Milan.

After rising through the youth ranks, Bradley enjoyed a successful loan spell at Bolton in 2022/23 season before he was promoted to Klopp’s squad last summer.

The full-back, who signed a new long-term contract with the club at the end of 2023, now looks set to contribute to Liverpool’s assault on four competitions.

Bradley rotated between right-back and right-wing for Bolton, scoring seven goals and providing six assists in 53 appearances. His ability to play in more offensive positions could make him the perfect replacement for Alexander-Arnold in the coming weeks, meaning Liverpool won’t need to bring in an emergency replacement before the transfer market closes.

Alexander-Arnold seems to think that anyway. When Bradley took to Instagram to celebrate his cameo at the Emirates, the England star commented: “Impact.”

There’s never a good time to lose a key player through injury, but Alexander-Arnold’s absence could prove to be a blessing in disguise.

A Conor Bradley compilation from Liverpool suggests he is the perfect Trent Alexander-Arnold understudy.

On Sunday Arsenal were punished for missing a host of missed chances as a Jakub Kiwior own goal and Luis Diaz strike sent Liverpool into the fourth round of the FA Cup with a 2-0 win.

The victory means Liverpool are still in with a chance of winning four competitions this season.

And one of the brightest performances for the Reds that day was Northern Ireland international Bradley, who came on to replace Harvey Elliott with just 15 minutes remaining on the clock.

Sources: Liverpool set sights on signing Jeremie Frimpong

Liverpool are among the sides monitoring the situation of Bayer Leverkusen wing-back Jeremie Frimpong, sources have told Football Insider.

Football Insider revealed on Tuesday (9 January) that Aston Villa are keen on the 23-year-old and he could become a realistic target for the Midlands giants if they secure Champions League qualification.

It is believed Frimpong is also wanted by Man United and Arsenal following his impressive performances for Leverkusen in the Bundesliga.

Xabi Alonso’s side are aware of the growing interest in the Netherlands international ahead of a possible switch at the end of the 2023-24 campaign.

The Netherlands international will reportedly be available later this year via a release clause worth around £35million.

Former Celtic and Man City star Frimpong, who is under contract in Germany until June 2028, has played exclusively on the right flank of a 3-4-3 formation in the 2023-24 campaign.

He has managed seven goals and 10 assists across 22 appearances in all competitions so far this season.

The right-footer joined Leverkusen in January 2021 and has gone on to notch 18 goals and 30 assists in 117 games for the club.

Liverpool are weighing up a move for a new right-back as they consider moving Trent Alexander-Arnold into a more permanent midfield role.

Arsenal and Man United are also keen on the 23-year-old and could join the race for his signature in the summer window when Financial Fair Play worries are alleviated.
