Following City’s victory over Burnley, captain “Kevin De Bruyne” sent warnings to rivals for the Premier League crown.

Manchester City eased to a 3-1 win over Burnley in the Premier League on Wednesday night to make it eight wins in a row in all competitions

Manchester City’s star player Kevin De Bruyne is happy that the team is nearly at full strength as they get ready for the most important part of the season.

Erling Haaland was back on the pitch after being away for nearly two months, helping City to a 3-1 win against Burnley in the Premier League last Wednesday.

De Bruyne, who has just started his first game since August, and John Stones, who had been injured, are both playing again. With only Manu Akanji remaining on the sidelines, City are in their best position of the season to pile the pressure on the Premier League leaders and be ready for the Champions League knockout stages.

“I think it’s really good,” said De Bruyne, who helped Julian Alvarez score two goals in the easy win over Burnley at the Etihad Stadium.

“I think if Manu comes back and I think it’ll be soon it’s going to be the first time in the year everybody’s fit, so that can only help us because I think the schedule is getting a little bit harder and harder in the next weeks.”

“To have everybody available can only help the team being competitive. Even if you change (the team), there’s big stars sitting on the bench and you can rotate.”

City are in good form after a tough time in November, winning eight games in a row and 10 out of their last 11 in all competitions.

De Bruyne said: “I just think there is that feeling that whenever we lose a game, we’re falling too far behind. And it’s the same in the cup competitions if you lose, you’re out.”

“So I think we’re in a good moment, people are coming back, but we don’t get complacent.”

Alvarez’s double showed how the Argentinian has shone this season, when required to fill the shoes of effective players like De Bruyne and Haaland.

De Bruyne stated: “He’s been really good. I think he’s played a lot in the midfield this year and that’s not really his position, but he did a great job because obviously we had a lot of injuries.”

“He’s been banging in goals, giving assists, so he’s probably happy. He’s doing really good.”

A third goal was scored by Rodri shortly after half time before Ameen Al-Dakhil scored a late consolation for Burnley.
