First pictures of Nike’s ‘leaked’ Liverpool home kit for 2024/25 Revealed…

Shortly after the leak of Liverpool’s alleged third kit for the 2024/25 season, the Reds’ home kit has apparently followed suit.

Nike’s latest iteration of the home jersey harks back to 2013/14, featuring a yellow badge and swoosh tick with white trim on the collar and pinstripes.

In fairness, we’d be hard-pressed to imagine any fan who would be disappointed with this design – if it is, indeed, a genuine reflection of what we’re likely to see in stores this summer.

Liverpool are pushing hard to bring Goncalo Inacio to Anfield this month as Jurgen Klopp looks for a solution to his injury crisis in defence.

The Reds may be top of the Premier League table but if Joe Gomez were to suffer an injury, they would find themselves in a truly precarious position.

Joel Matip, Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas are all injured but Inacio could be the perfect signing to help the Merseysiders deal with the number of games at hand.

What’s the latest on Liverpool’s hopes of signing Goncalo Inacio?

According to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo, Sporting Lisbon have agreed a €750,000 fee with Leixões for the transfer of Rafael Silva which could pave the way for Liverpool to sign Inacio.

Ruben Amorim, Sporting boss, spoke about Silva’s impending arrival: “Rafael can be presented and then we will do the evaluation.

“He has very good characteristics. He is a player we appreciate. He can be a great player.”

Liverpool are pushing to complete a deal worth around £52 million to sign the Portugal international this month with a recent report suggesting that Sporting consider his departure to be “inevitable” as Liverpool accelerate their transfer approach.

Inacio would be a fantastic signing for Liverpool to make this month as he’s able to play at left-back in addition to his natural centre-back role.

The 22-year-old is also highly efficient in a back three which would be quite helpful with the Reds enjoying success with their 3-box-3 formation which sees Trent Alexander-Arnold more central than before in his auxiliary midfield role.

Matip’s ACL rupture is a real shame given he was in fine form. More disappointing, however, is that the Cameroonian may now have played his last game for the club as his contract expires at the end of the season.

‘He’s been outstanding’: Sky Sports pundit says Liverpool have a 20-year-old who’s truly ‘brilliant’

Last year was a breakout campaign for Stefan Bajcetic, Harvey Elliott emerged as a star the year before that, and the year prior to that, Curtis Jones started to make his name.

There’s no doubt about who the young star of the show has been for Liverpool this season though – Jarell Quansah has broke into the first-team, and to say that he has impressed would be an understatement.

Quansah already looks like a top Premier League defender, and speaking on Sky Sports (31/12/23 1:23PM), Clinton Morrison has been discussing the Liverpool defender while urging Tottenham to give some of their young players more of a chance.

Quansah has been brilliant

Morrison spoke highly of the 20-year-old.

“Why not give the youngsters an opportunity? Jurgen Klopp did it with Quansah and he’s been outstanding, he has been brilliant for them, and he’s even played him ahead of Konate at times, and the young lad has looked comfortable,” Morrison said.

Exciting

Morrison is right, Quansah has been brilliant so far this season, and it’s so exciting to see a young defender making their name in this way.

Centre-back has been something of a problem position at Liverpool for some time, dating back to that 2020/21 injury crisis that saw Nat Phillips and Rhys Williams playing at the back on almost a weekly basis.

The Reds have lacked depth at the back for quite some time, but the emergence of Quansah has alleviated that issue massively.

The fact that Quansah is just 20 years old makes this very exciting. Realistically, he could still be 10 years away from being at his peak, and the fact that he has so much room to grow and improve makes him a potential superstar.

Quansah looks like the real deal, and Liverpool are very lucky to have him.

Opinion: Ryan Gravenberch could now explode for Liverpool

Liverpool are quietly but effectively going on about their business. I do not think that the Reds have been particularly great this season, but they could go on to win the Premier League title.

Yes, Arsenal are a strong team and Manchester City remain a force to be reckoned with, but Liverpool are certainly in the mix. I personally think that City will win the title yet again, but I would not be surprised if Jurgen Klopp’s side got the job done in the end.

Liverpool have a number of players doing well. Alisson is at the top of his game, Mohamed Salah is banging in the goals for fun, Virgil van Dijk is starting to look like his old self and Dominik Szoboszlai has taken to the Premier League like a duck to water.

Ryan Gravenberch not at his best for Liverpool

One Liverpool player who has not yet made a huge impact is Ryan Gravenberch. The Netherlands international midfielder moved to the Reds from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2023 for £34.2 million (Sky Sports).

Much was expected of Gravenberch when he joined Liverpool, but I do not think that he has made a massive impact at the former Premier League champions. However, I believe that the 21-year-old could explode in the coming weeks and months.

We have to remember that Gravenberch did not have a pre-season training with Liverpool. That did affect him. There have also been injury concerns over the former Ajax star.

Gravenberch has made only seven starts in the Premier League, but he has made four starts in the UEFA Europa League. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp clearly likes him, and it seems that he has been using him in European matches to allow him to get to grips with the way that the Reds play.

Ryan Gravenberch going to grow in importance

I think that we could see Gravenberch’s importance in the Liverpool team grow in the second half of the season. A right-footed central midfielder, he is at his best when used as a single pivot or as part of a double pivot.

The Netherlands international midfielder is very comfortable on the ball and can find good passes forward. He is not just a player who sits in the middle of the park and breaks the opposition’s game. He can drive the team forward as well.

Gravenberch has been starting on the left of a midfield-three for Liverpool, and I think that he will make that position his own for good. In the medium to long run, the Dutchman could become a regular in the first team alongside Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister in the midfield. He is only 21. He is going to get better.
