Vincent Kompany’s side, who earned an automatic promotion by virtue of winning the Championship last season, are
looking to restock their squad ahead of a challenging campaign in the top-flight.
They have already secured four signings and have been linked with a number of others, though all those moves are still in
the pipeline.

BURNLEY CLOSE TO LANDING STRIKER WITH INCREDIBLE INTERNATIONAL RECORD
According to The Athletic, as well as progressing towards securing the services of free agent Nathan Redmond, Burnley are
also working on a deal for Zeki Amdouni.
The Clarets have already exercised their option to make Michael Obafemi’s move to the club from Swansea City into a
permanent one this summer, but Vincent Kompany wants to strengthen his strikeforce further with the arrival of Amdouni.
Burnley were brilliant going forward in the Championship last season, but will come up against much sterner defences in the
Premier League this time around. Amdouni will have to quickly demonstrate that he has what it takes to cut it in the top
flight of English football.
Who is Zeki Amdouni?
The 5-cap Switzerland international was in fine form last season. The 22-year-old spent the campaign on loan at Basel,
where he bagged 22 goals in all competitions. This was a continuation from the fine form he had displayed in the previous
campaign with his parent club Lausanne-Sport, who he notched 15 strikes for.
Basel took up their option to sign Amdouni permanently in May, but the young striker looks set to be on the move again
already. The opportunity to prove himself in the Premier League would be a just reward for Amdouni, who has had a
remarkable year so far. On top of his exploits at club level, he has scored five international goals across his first five senior
outings for Switzerland. This 100% international strike-rate is testament to Amdouni’s prolific form.
