As one of Europe’s most sought after players, it’s been reported that Liverpool have reached an agreement with Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen.
Following a successful 2022/23 campaign with Napoli, where the African star inspired his team to an historic Serie A title win, Osimhen generated interest from some of the biggest clubs in Europe.
The likes of Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United were believed to be interested in the Napoli striker’s services.
Now though, according to Italian journalist Valter De Maggio, Liverpool have entered the chat to sign Osimhen and claimed that the Reds have agreed a deal with the 24-year-old.
“The parties [Napoli and Osimhen] had reached an agreement for the renewal, but then Calenda and Osimhen went back on their word.
What happened? There was the inclusion of another club, from the Premier League. I’m talking about Liverpool,” De Maggio said, as per Football365.
“There would be frequent contacts, but I just learned something else: there would be agreements already reached.
“Let me clarify: the agreements would be between the Reds and the player, therefore they would not involve Napoli. I hope Laurentiis will be able to keep Victor Osimhen at least until June, but we can’t be sure.”

Peter Crouch says one Liverpool player is now worth £100m
Peter Crouch has now claimed that Luis Diaz is now worth £100m after the Liverpool winger’s performance against Everton.
Speaking on TNT Sports, the pundit lauded the Colombian international’s display on Saturday, with Diaz winning the key penalty that set Liverpool on their way to a 2-0 win at Anfield.
With Diaz missing a good chunk of last season through injury, the South American’s return to full fitness has been a welcome return for Liverpool.
The attacker has cemented himself as a key player for the Reds in an interchangeable frontline, and Diaz’s performance on Saturday highlighted his qualities.
Indeed, whilst a valuation of £100m might be steep, there’s no denying that Liverpool landed a bargain in Diaz, and the winger has repaid his transfer fee in full already.
Diaz will want to take his game to new heights with Liverpool
To pardon the cliche, Diaz’s return to full fitness has felt like a new signing for Liverpool, and the winger will now want to take his game to new heights.
The forward has been in impressive form for the Reds already this campaign, and Diaz will want to push the Anfield side back to the UEFA Champions League and beyond.
Performances this season have been solid, and for Diaz, the Colombian international seems keen to push himself into that world-class bracket that every Liverpool fan knows the forward can reach.
