DONE DEAL: Liverpool Have Finally Found a Talented ‘Start’

Liverpool told to sign £50m midfielder who can ‘win the league’ for them.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have lost just once this season but pundit Owen Hargreaves insists there is still a missing piece to the puzzle.

Owen Hargreaves has tipped Liverpool to bring in Fulham midfielder Palhinha in order to bolster their title credentials.

The Reds have so far lost just once in the Premier League and were in inspired form as they saw off Nottingham Forest by 3-0 at Anfield on Sunday.

Goals from Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah were somewhat overshadowed by the recent news involving Luis Diaz’s family.

With Luton Town and Brentford to come before the November showdown with reigning champions Manchester City, Jurgen Klopp’s side have seemingly adapted well following the loss of both Fabinho and Jordan Henderson in the summer.

With Ryan Gravenberch, Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister and Wataru Endo all brought in, the balance of the team has adjusted some what in central areas, as they begin a new era in the middle of the park.

However, former Manchester United man Hargreaves is firmly of the opinion that the Reds are still missing just one more player that could further bolster their title chances even more this season.

“I think they are missing one player and that’s a defensive midfield player,” said the BT Sport pundit via Premier League Productions earlier today.

“I think if Palhinha plays for Liverpool, then they can win the league. He is that good.”

The Portuguese international has continued to impress for the Cottagers since their return to the Premier League last season, and was even said to be of interest for reigning Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich in the summer months.

Valued by the CIES at around £20m, it is thought the fee Marco Silva’s side would want is in the region of £50m, given his top-level experience and international pedigree.
