Done deal: liverpool have agrees a deal the 21-year-old talented young star and it might be a done deal…

Liverpool are reportedly ready to bid for Brentford defender Aaron Hickey, with the 21-year-old also wanted by Arsenal and Manchester United.

According to the Mirror, the Reds are one of three Premier League giants taking a keen interest in the Scottish fullback, with Hickey flourishing at Brentford since joining in 2022.

The former Hearts wonderkid has established himself as a regular for Thomas Frank’s side, and Liverpool are now interested in Hickey, who could potentially replace Andy Robertson.

Hailed as ‘phenomenal’ by former Scotland international Barry Ferguson, Hickey is one of the most exciting British talents currently playing regularly in the Premier League.

And at Liverpool, the fullback could take his game to the next level, with Hickey an ideal player to replace the likes of Robertson and provide cover for Trent Alexander-Arnold on the opposite flank.

Hickey is on course to become one of the best fullbacks in the Premier League and a player who can be a regular for one of the division’s biggest clubs.

And for Liverpool, they will want to ensure that they are the side who wins the race for Hickey, with the Scottish youngster an ideal long-term signing for the Reds.

As well as exceptional cover for now, Hickey has the potential to replace the likes of Robertson in the starting XI for years to come, a player that will be hard to succeed for the Reds without the right planning.
