Done Deal: Burnley land £14m as marquee deal agreed,The Star Is Expected On The Opener Vs Man City

Commercial revenue at Burnley is expected to rise to around £14million per year following their latest sponsorship

deal, Football Insider can reveal.

The Clarets secured their return to the Premier League last season at the first time of asking by topping the Championship in

impressive fashion.

The Lancashire-based side have already begun to use their top-flight status to strike lucrative commercial deals, with the

club partnering with betting company W88 this summer.

Burnley were previously partnered with Classic Football Shirts as their front-of-shirt sponsor during their Championship

season, but they have moved quickly this summer to find a more lucrative agreement.

They announced via their website (June 28) that W88 signed as the club’s new official shirt sponsor for the 2023/24 season.

It is understood that the W88 deal is worth £8million per season to the Clarets – a huge upgrade on the valuation of their

Classic Football Shirts deal.

On top of their W88 sponsorship, Burnley have partnered with DudePerfect, Vertu Motors and BK8 for the upcoming

campaign.

Umbro will continue to be the club’s kit supplier in 2023/24 after signing a multi-year deal with the club in 2019.

Burnley posted commercial revenues of £11.5million in the 2021/22 season when they were relegated from the Premier

League.

They are expected to leapfrog that figure next season, largely thanks to the value of their W88 deal.

However, partnering with gambling/casino companies is only a short-term solution for top-flight clubs, with the Premier

League voting to ban front-of-shirt gambling sponsors by the end of the 2025/26 season.
