Burnley’s owners are set to complete a takeover of Belgian side KVV Kortrijk soon, with transfers already under discussion.
That’s according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, who say the move from Burnley’s owners is ‘set to be confirmed soon’.
Kortrijk have been looking for new owners for several months, with current owner Vincent Tan keen to move them on and the fans keen for him to
depart as well.
Burnley’s owners, namely US investor Maciek Kaminski, had expressed and interest and talked to Tan about a deal but those negotiations broke
down when he suddenly and inexplicably increased his asking price for the club.
There have been several twists and turns on the matter since that point, with potential other buyers also pulling out following negotiations with Tan.
Indeed, the Clarets hierarchy is ‘already controlling’ at the club and that extends to transfer business, where they are seeking profiles for players to
bring to the club to strengthen them.
That’s a clear indication of their confidence on the matter and that Burnley will soon have a sister club in Kaminski and co.’s portfolio.

Burnley midfielder ‘preparing his transfer’ away from Clarets – Could return to home country
It seems Burnley midfielder Samuel Bastien could still be on his way out of the club this summer.
It’s claimed that Bastien’s move back to Belgium is a ‘possibility’, as the player is ‘preparing his transfer’ away from Burnley.
The midfielder, who joined the Clarets on a €800k move from Standard Liege last summer, only made 24 appearances for the English club, and
wasn’t used by Vincent Kompany this season yet.
The report doesn’t make it clear whether there are advanced talks for Bastien to join some specific club, or if the player is just looking around to seek
a new destination.
His contract with Burnley runs until 2025, and he’s currently valued by Transfermarkt at €1.8m.
In other news, Tavolieri adds that the Clarets’ owners are ‘close’ to acquiring a Belgian club, with sources telling him there are advanced talks for the
takeover of KV Kortrijk. But that’s another story which should get followed by more details soon.
