BREAKING NEWS: Wonderkid may now sign with Manchester City after turning down a new contract offer, as of right now.

Gabriel Misehouy could now join Manchester City this month after ignoring a new contract at Ajax.

That is according to De Telegraaf.

So, what is the latest on Gabriel Misehouy and Manchester City? Let’s take a look…

Gabriel Misehouy could join Manchester City

Well – according to De Telegraaf – Manchester City are paying very close attention to the Netherlands U19 international’s situation after he ignored the offer of a new contract at Ajax.

Misehouy has not only ignored Ajax’s contract offer, but the 18-year-old has also hired a new agent, which suggests he is now focused on a move away from Amsterdam.

De Telegraaf explain how Ajax set a deadline on Wednesday for the teenager to respond to the contract offer, although there has been nothing but silence on the Dutchman’s behalf.

Misehouy has hired Pini Zahavi to arrange his future, with Manchester City and Girona mentioned as the two clubs who are ready to pounce.

Even if the Amsterdam-born wonderkid ends up at Girona, an impressive time with the Spanish outfit could see him end up at Manchester City anyway, given the fact both clubs are under the City Football Group umbrella.

There already appears to be one instance of this happening, as Savio – currently shining at Girona – looks set to join Manchester City.

Misehouy has shone for the Ajax U21 side so far this season, scoring seven goals – while also providing three assists – across 13 appearances in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie, captaining the side at times too.

Gabriel Misehouy deal would only add to the excitement surrounding Manchester City’s future

So far this month, Txiki Begiristain has managed to sign two potentially world class talents in Finlay Gorman and Claudio Echeverri.

Both of those prospects could become huge players for Manchester City one day, and if the Spanish Director of Football can also pinch Misehouy this month, it would make the future even more exciting for the Citizens.

Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as the Dutchman now looks set to leave Ajax.

Fabrizio Romano has now shared what he has heard from inside Manchester City about Pep Guardiola and Kalvin Phillips.

The Italian made the comments when speaking to Caught Offside.

So, what was said about Kalvin Phillips and Pep Guardiola? Let’s take a look…

Fabrizio Romano opens up on Pep Guardiola and Kalvin Phillips relationship

Well, the Spaniard has handed the England international just two Premier League starts since signing him from Leeds United back in July 2022 – and is now ready to loan him out to West Ham.

That would suggest there are potential issues between Guardiola and Phillips behind the scenes, although Romano has now claimed the pair do not have a “negative” relationship.

The reliable journalist said: “Despite what’s been reported elsewhere, the relationship between Kalvin Phillips and Pep Guardiola was very good, from what I heard.

“Phillips has always been super professional despite being often benched, Pep was happy with his behaviour. Of course there were some tense moments but it’s part of football, it always happens at big clubs, but I’m told it was not a negative relationship.”

Guardiola revealed back in December that the main reason for overlooking the Yorkshireman was due to the fact he struggles to envisage him carrying out some tactical ideas, ahead of players like Rodri.

Therefore, it sounds like it was purely a footballing problem for Phillips at the Etihad Stadium, rather than a lack of application from the 28-year-old.

Manchester City set to accept loss on Kalvin Phillips

If Phillips performs well at West Ham, Manchester City are ready to take a small loss on the initial £45m investment.

Florian Plettenburg of Sky Germany believes West Ham can buy the Leeds-born playmaker permanently for a sum of €40m (£34m) this summer, which represents an £11m loss for Manchester City.

Nevertheless, a side boasting Manchester City’s riches surely won’t care about that too much.
