Joao Palhinha of Fulham has been mentioned in connection with Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham Hotspur is interested in acquiring Joao Palhinha from London and Premier League rivals Fulham during the
summer transfer season, according to The Sun (print edition 1/7; page 67).
According to the British tabloid source, West Ham United are also interested in the 27-year-old Portuguese defensive
midfielder, who Nani, a former Manchester United winger, described as “aggressive” on Antena1 in November 2020.
Could Fulham’s Joao Palhinha be acquired by Tottenham Hotspur?
In our opinion, Tottenham Hotspur might be able to get Joao Palhinha in the summer transfer window from Fulham, a
Premier League opponent from London.
Tottenham is a sizable team that consistently contends for the top four spots in the Premier League standings.
And Spurs’ most recent appearance in the UEFA Champions League final was in 2019.
For Palhinha, moving from Fulham to Spurs would be a step forward.
The 27-year-old was acquired by Fulham for £17 million in the summer of 2022 (The Sun), and the Cottagers will
undoubtedly demand much more for him right now.
Palhinha’s asking price of £90 million has been rumored by some, although it is improbable that any club—including
Tottenham—would agree to that price for the Portugal international.
However, Spurs might be able to acquire Palhinha’s services with a bid of around £40–£50 million.
According to The Telegraph, Ivan Perisic could be sold by Tottenham, but Eric Dier does not want to leave the club during
the summer transfer season.

However, it would be churlish to imply that the departures of Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici had not at least somewhat
raised questions about his near future. Both of whom played a crucial role in his initial arrival.
Destiny Udogie was chosen specifically to fit Conte’s 3-4-2-1 shape. After all, he established himself as one of Serie A’s most
productive attacking wing-backs.
Conte’s successor, Ange Postecoglou, is now expected to shift towards a four-man backline instead. As such, there is no
longer such an obvious place in the Spurs XI for a man who arguably lacks the defensive awareness to truly thrive – at least
initially – as a genuine left-back.
However, Udogie’s representative is certain that his client will still contribute to Tottenham in the post-Conte era.
The transfer of Destiny Udogie to Tottenham Hotspur
According to Stefano Antonelli, “Udogie’s situation is clear.”
“He plays for Tottenham. Due to the fact that they changed management, we have been in touch recently. Additionally, the
coach will switch from 3-5-2 to 4-3-3.
Postecoglu is unwavering in his belief that Udogie will have room.
A number of Serie A teams have expressed interest in signing Udogie, according to Antonelli. A player who made a terrible
error as Italy fell to France 2-1 at the U21 European Championships last week was most likely trying to secure a loan
contract.
“The Italian clubs are calling,” Antonelli continues. “Because some believe he needs to take another step before acting. At a
prestigious club like Juventus, Milan, or Inter, perhaps.
“Today (Thursday), I got a call from the Tottenham technical area. And (They) requested that we confirm the itinerary,
which calls for a trip of Thailand.
They affirm the player’s significance as of right now, and we will assess everything. He plays for Tottenham, though.
