Spurs have been offered the chance to sign Beto

Defensa Central claim that the 6-foot-3-inch centre-forward is now on the lookout for a new club, with the player’s agent

alleged to have ‘made contact’ with Spurs and Real Madrid.

However, it is explained that neither club have shown an interest in snapping up Beto so far.

It is suggested that the reason could be Udinese’s asking price of €30m (£25.6m), with ‘no club’ willing to meet that price so

far.

The report asserts that the Italian could thus have to reduce their demands over the coming weeks if they hope to sell the 25-

year-old.

With Kane now looking extremely likely to stay and with Richarlison more than capable of covering for the centre-forward

role, I do not see Spurs entering the market for another number nine this summer.

A wide forward is likely to be on Postecoglou’s agenda following Moura’s and Danjuma’s departure.

Journalist claims Spurs cannot be ruled out of race for 24-year-old striker

Sky Italia journalist Massimo Marianella has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur could still make a sensational move for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen this summer as Harry Kane’s future remains up in the air.

Despite Kane having just one year left on his contract with Spurs and there being no indication that he is about to sign an

extension, the noises coming out of the North London club over recent weeks suggest that he is set to stay.

This includes an update from 90 min two weeks ago, which asserted that Tottenham have informed the England captain’s

entourage that they will not entertain any offers for him.

However, the speculation over the centre-forward’s future continues to run rife, with Sky Germany reporter Florian

Plettenberg claiming on Monday that Bayern Munich have been informed by Kane’s entourage that a move to the Bavarian

club would be his top preference this summer.

The journalist added that the Bundesliga giants are ‘optimistic’ that they could sign the Spurs star for less than €100m (£86m).

Osimhen could be a Spurs target if Harry Kane leaves

Marianella has now suggested that Kane departing N17 still remains a possibility and the Lilywhites could compete with the

likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain for the Nigerian if their talisman leaves.

He told Sky Sport 24 (as relayed by TuttoNapoli): “Tottenham are a team with medium-high ambitions that are changing

everything. There will be a new manager.

“Many players will leave, the new coach may even be without Kane if the English centre-forward were to go to Manchester

United, Bayern Munich or Chelsea.

“In the last few hours in England, they say that even Chelsea are about to make a phone call to Napoli for Osimhen.

“It seems that one door is closed, which is that of Real Madrid, the two most open to catch a striker remain Manchester

United and PSG. At that point, a place would also open up at Tottenham.”

With Manchester United and Real Madrid seemingly admitting defeat in their pursuits of Kane, it looks overwhelmingly

likely that the striker will remain at Tottenham.

I just cannot see him leaving the Premier League to move to Bayern Munich this summer, especially when he would be out

of contract next summer and have the full power to decide where he wants to go.
