Breaking news: Now more than ever, Mikel Arteta wants Arsenal to buy a striker quicker than Jeremy Doku.

The idea of Arsenal adding a new striker during the January transfer window has been discussed a lot.

The north London team wants to win the Premier League this year, but many think they won’t be able to take home any significant hardware until they get a legitimate striker who can score 20 goals a season.

Ivan Toney and Ollie Watkins are two strikers that have lately been linked, but Mikel Arteta is reportedly eyeing another striker as his priority target, according to Football Transfers.

In fact, according to Football Transfers, Arsenal’s top striker target for January is Dusan Vlahovic.

Nobody should be surprised by the emergence of this rumor.

For the past three transfer windows, Vlahovic seems to have been connected to Arsenal every time.

Prior to his transfer to Juventus in 2021, the Gunners made an attempt to sign the Serbian, but the striker chose to move to Turin instead of north London at the time.

Since then, there has been a slight change in power as Juventus’ stock has continued to decline and Arsenal’s stock has increased; as a result, Vlahovic might be persuaded to sign with the Gunners at this time.

The Gunners would find Vlahovic to be an intriguing signing. He is a quintessential modern attacker in that, like Darwin Nunez and Erling Haaland, he skillfully blended strength, quickness, and skill.

Vlahovic is physically quite imposing at 6 feet 3 inches, but he is also lightning fast. He is actually faster than Jeremy Doku, according to The Speeds Database, a player whose speed has destroyed numerous defenses this season.

Arsenal switch to clean-cut striker and battle Man Utd and Liverpool for 'huge' transfer

It remains to be seen if this trade is successful, but Vlahovic is a player we should be keeping a watch on as the January window draws nearer.
