The 21 year starlet, a midfielder for Celta Vigo, is allegedly a top target for Liverpool, who are expected to make a bid for him.

RC Celta v Real Valladolid CF - LaLiga Santander

The Reds are prepared to make their first offer for the 21-year-old, who has a release clause of just £34 million and is also being pursued by teams like Chelsea, Manchester City, and Napoli, according to journalist Rudy Galetti.

Veiga, a young player in La Liga, was one of the division’s breakout stars last season, scoring an astounding 11 goals from midfield. This performance has generated significant interest in Veiga, and it now seems likely that the Celta Vigo star will join one of Europe’s top teams.

And now, Liverpool might be that team. Jurgen Klopp’s team is anticipated to make a bid for Veiga, and given how affordable the price is in comparison to other targets in the market, it will probably be enough to activate the midfielder’s release clause.

The Reds are prepared to take concrete action for him to prepare for the intense competition, according to Galetti. A lot of elite teams are interested in Gabri, including Chelsea, Manchester City, Real Madrid, and Napoli. The quickest team will win the battle to sign Veiga because of his fair €40 million [£34 million] release clause.

Liverpool must move quickly to complete the acquisition of Veiga.

Galetti indicated that the team that moves the quickest will probably sign Veiga this summer. In order to outbid their English and European competitors for the Spanish midfielder, Liverpool will need to act soon.

For a talent as talented and productive as Veiga, £35 million is a great price. With Liverpool in need of additional midfielders, Veiga may be the ideal addition to Alexis MacAllister, especially given how simple it is to complete a move.

Liverpool transfer news as ‘concrete offer ready’ to beat rivals and FSG backs Jürgen Klopp plan

Liverpool is shaping its new transfer dynamic on the fly. The deal for Alexis Mac Allister was the last struck under the ‘legacy’ structure, with Julian Ward playing a key role before departing the club, but Jörg Schmadtke is now firmly in place.

An initial short-term appointment, it will be interesting to see what kind of scope he is given, and whether Liverpool views him primarily as a negotiator. Certainly, it would make sense if Jürgen Klopp saw his say in proceedings increase over this period.

Sure enough, one of today’s stories suggests FSG has signed off on a transfer plan that comes straight from Klopp, with Liverpool now ready to advance its interest.

Another ‘solid offer’ is being prepared in the meantime as Liverpool tries to maintain its winning streak following the cost-effective acquisition of Mac Allister from Brighton and Hove Albion. Even after that agreement was made, the midfield is still the top priority, and developments there seem to be on the horizon.

Gabri Veiga (Celta Vigo)

There’s still a trickle of new names coming out, but a core set of midfielders have been mentioned in connection with Liverpool for a sustained number of weeks now. Gabri Veiga undoubtedly falls into that category.

With an affordable release clause, the young midfielder ticks a number of key boxes, and that’s probably why Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid are all said to be attentive to the situation as well.

But according to Rudy Galetti for Give Me Sport, it is Liverpool who has a ‘concrete offer’ ready. It is prepared to move quickly because of the scale of competition, amid a belief that ‘the race for Veiga will be won by the fastest club’.

Liverpool.com says: Liverpool will not be rushed into a move. That’s not its style. Likewise, with so much interest on the table, it’s hard to imagine Gabri Veiga will simply accept the first good personal terms that come along either.

That being said, it’s very plausible that Liverpool has independently come to the conclusion that Veiga is a good fit for the midfield rebuild. Like Mac Allister, he would come in at a reasonable price, and he could compete for one of the newly-created twin number eight roles.

If Liverpool has made that decision, it certainly couldn’t hurt to act quickly.

Ryan Gravenberch (Bayern Munich)

If a potentially below-value release clause for a young talent screams ‘FSG’, another potential moves appears to have Klopp’s fingerprints on it.

The Liverpool boss is believed to be keen on raiding the Bundesliga for Ryan Gravenberch, who endured a bit-part role for Bayern Munich last season as it hung on to its title. And according to the Mirror, the club is set to back Klopp’s wishes.

The player himself is also open to the move. Bayern Munich’s stance could yet prove to be an obstacle, although the Bavarians did recently complete a transfer for Konrad Laimer.

Liverpool.com says: The transfer process has to be a collaborative one. If Klopp has taken the lead on this particular deal, that’s fine, providing FSG is happy that the data backs up the move.

Gravenberch was a real wonderkid when he came through at Ajax, and one underwhelming season doesn’t change that. It looks like a reasonable gamble for Liverpool to make — albeit ideally as the third midfield recruit, with a couple of safer bets already through the door.
