According to sources speaking to Football Insider, Burnley is preparing a move for a 24-year-old attacker.
After moving from Fortuna Sittard of the Eredivisie last summer, the 24-year-old was among the best players in the Championship last year.
The offensive midfielder helped Millwall nearly miss the Championship play-offs while scoring 15 league goals and dishing out three assists.
Flemming is greatly admired by Burnley manager Vincent Kompany, who believes that he might help his team advance to the Premier League.
The midfielder spent 10 years in the Ajax academy before making a permanent move to PEC Zwolle in 2018. Prior to that, he spent several years in the Ajax junior system.
After an excellent rookie season with Milwall in which he made 44 appearances in all competitions, Kompany is now hoping to sign Flemming.
After sustaining an injury at the beginning of the season, the midfielder started 40 of those games.
Last season, Milwall came in eighth place in the English second division, two points behind play-off finalists Coventry.
According to Southwark News (13 May), Flemming stated that, given the intense nature of the league, he was proud of how he was able to adapt to life in England.
When the midfielder returned to play around the end of August, he said that everything had gone “really well” after being frustrated by an injury at the beginning of his English Championship voyage.
In other developments, the defender gets ready to go through the Burnley medical once West Brom approve the talks.
