BREAKING NEWS: Ex-Liverpool Legend Warns Jurgen Klopp To Withdraw from signing 80M Player if they want’s to Win the League Due To…

Liverpool will be on brink of collapse if they complete one deal, presenter warns

FacebookWhatsAppTwitterRedditEmailShare

Will the Kylian Mbappe to Liverpool links ever go away? Probably not any time soon.

The Frenchman’s ongoing impasse over a contract renewal with PSG has led to such reports resurfacing again, with his contract set to expire this summer.

Rickie Haywood-Williams has warned the Merseysiders against trying to complete a deal, however, noting the potentially devastating financial ramifications.

“I don’t know the finances of FSG but if you go by the model in which Liverpool do their business, it’s just not what we do,” the presenter warned on the Footballer’s Football Podcast (via BBC Sport).

“We buy players on the cusp of becoming great players, they get moulded by Klopp and then he moulds them into great players. We don’t buy the finished article and it would just send everything about our club into disarray if you were to bring in someone of that magnitude on those wages, because what do you do then? What do you do with Virgil van Dijk and Mo Salah? They’re going to want even more wages and then it’s just going to mess everything up.

“As much as I would love Kylian Mbappe at Liverpool, it just annoys me that it gets put in the press every single transfer window.”

The World Cup-winning midfielder has been in prolific form in Ligue this term, notching 22 goals in 23 appearances this year.

A deal on our terms or nothing

Don’t get us wrong. Would we want to see Kylian Mbappe in the famous red shirt, smacking in about thirty million goals a season in front of the Kop?

Christ alive, would we!

He’s a terrific footballer and goalscorer but the reality remains that it’s just not a deal we’re likely to see completed on our terms.

Unless Mbappe’s willing to take a salary on Merseyside that comfortably fits within our current wage structure, it’s quite simply not going to happen.

And we’re okay with that, to be completely honest.

Virgil van Dijk misses out for Liverpool as their FA Cup campaign gets underway against Arsenal at the Emirates on Sunday.

The Reds captain is suffering with an illness and hasn’t travelled to London as Jurgen Klopp makes four changes against Mikel Arteta’s side at the third-round stage.

Harvey Elliott steps in for the absent Mohamed Salah as Liverpool begin life without the Egypt international ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations, which gets underway in the Ivory Coast next week.

Elliott starts in what appears to be a 4-2-3-1 formation for Klopp’s team as Alexis Mac Allister returns in place of Wataru Endo, who is also on international duty with Japan at the Asia Cup.

Cody Gakpo starts as the most advanced midfielder with Curtis Jones anchoring the engine room alongside Mac Allister in north London.

Darwin Nunez leads the line and Luis Diaz is given a chance to build on an encouraging performance in Monday’s 4-2 win against Newcastle United on the left side of the attack.

A youthful-looking list of substitutes sees Klopp name Bobby Clark, Luke Chambers, Kaide Gordon, Conor Bradley, James McConnell and 16-year-old Trey Nyoni on the bench alongside Ryan Gravenberch, Diogo Jota and Caoimhin Kelleher.

Liverpool: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Quansah, Gomez; Mac Allister, Jones; Elliott, Gakpo, Diaz; Nunez.

Subs: Kelleher, Jota, Gravenberch, Clark, Chambers, Gordon, McConnell, Bradley, Nyoni.

Liverpool learn price-tag for summer target

Liverpool have learnt the figure they will need to pay Leeds United if they are to secure the signing of Crysencio Summerville, according to reports.

The Reds eyeing a move for the 22-year-old Dutch winger in the summer transfer window, as they look to bolster the long-term options Jurgen Klopp has amongst his squad.

Summerville has 12 goals and six assists across his 23 appearances in the Championship this season, which is form that has sparked the interest of several Premier League clubs such as Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Liverpool.

Liverpool have reportedly been monitoring the progress of the player for some time now and could look to make their move in the summer, especially if Leeds do not achieve promotion back to the top flight of English football on the first time of asking.

According to TEAMtalk, any interested party would need to part ways with around £30million to secure the signing of the promising young winger, as his list of suitors continues to grow.

Liverpool draw up six man transfer target list

Liverpool are ready to move for players in the January transfer window but are prioritising the summer, as they reportedly draw up a six-man target list for the end of the season.

According to CaughtOffside, Jurgen Klopp’s side will look into signing players across all of the defence, midfield and attack come the end of the 2023/24 campaign. Although, could look to fast-track the signing of an additional attacker in the January transfer window, due to the absence of Mohamed Salah to the Africa Cup of Nations.

The list of names includes players such as Sporting CP defender Goncalo Inacio, Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram, Borussia Monchengladbach star Manu Kone, PSV winger Johan Bakayoko, Schalke wonder-kid Assan Ouedraogo and Wolverhampton Wanderers man Pedro Neto.

Man City close in on Liverpool target transfer Joshua Kimmich

Manchester City are waiting till the summer to pursue a move for Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich, according to reports.

The 28-year-old midfielder will be entering the final year of his deal at the Bavarian club come the end of the 2023/24 season, which could see the asking price for Kimmich drop from £50million to around £25m.

According to the Daily Star, Premier League trio Liverpool, Manchester United and City are all monitoring Kimmich’s situation, as they look to secure a cut-price deal for the defensive midfielder.

The report goes on to state that despite the interest from the Reds and Erik ten Hag’s side, Kimmich would ‘love’ to work with Pep Guardiola once again, after previously playing for him during his reign at Bayern.

Guardiola is also a huge admirer of the player but with City already having Rodri in his position, the club will wait till the asking price is lower in summer before considering a move.

Liverpool receive heavy Fabio Carvalho interest

Fabio Carvalho is the subject of heavy transfer interest from multiple Premier League clubs, according to reports.

The 21-year-old has seen his loan spell at RB Leipzig cut-short after making just one start in the Bundesliga since arriving in the summer transfer window.

According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool have since received numerous loan enquiries for the Portuguese playmaker, with Wolverhampton Wanderers, Fulham, Leeds United and Southampton all credited with an interest in the player.

The report goes on to state that the players chances of regular game-time will be key in determining the next stage in his development, as Liverpool look to avoid a similar outcome to his last loan spell away from the club.

Rangers told to complete Liverpool transfer

Kenny Miller has told his former club Rangers to complete the loan signing of Liverpool defender Owen Beck, who has impressed while on loan at Dundee.

Beck, 21, has made 17 appearances for the Scottish Premiership club, where he has scored two goals and added two assists in the process.

The young left-back has since been recalled by Liverpool, given injuries to both Konstantinos Tsimikas and Andy Robertson, with Jurgen Klopp outlining his plans for the player in the last week.

“That was probably for him the case and now in Dundee it was fine and he made big steps,” he said. “Now, the situation here is clear: we lose two of our left-backs so we think it makes sense if a boy we like is available for us, we bring him back. That’s all.”

Speaking in his latest column for the Daily Record, Miller has instructed Rangers to monitor the situation involving Beck, if he is made available for another loan move. “Don’t get me wrong, if the chance is there to sign Owen Beck from Liverpool – who has really impressed me on loan at Dundee – I’d do it,” said Miller.

“He’d be a terrific signing if he’s available. And the reason I’d do it now is to get in before someone else moves first.”

Arsenal suffer huge injury blow ahead of Liverpool clash

Arsenal have suffered a major injury blow ahead of their FA Cup third round clash against Liverpool this afternoon, with Gabriel Jesus unlikely to feature.

Jesus, 26, has been a key player for Mikel Arteta’s side throughout the current season with three goals and one assist to his name in the top flight of English football, although has already missed ten games due to both hamstring and knee issues.

According to the Daily Mail, Jesus is now a doubt for the clash at the Emirates Stadium today due to a fresh knee injury concern, with the club yet to determine the severity of the setback.

Arsenal have suffered back-to-back defeats in the Premier League against Fulham and West Ham United, with the injury to their starting forward offering another blow to the Gunners in their search for silverware. The club could also be without Ukranian international Oleksandr Zinchenko, who is suffering with a calf injury.

Liverpool set to rival Man Utd for Premier League star

Liverpool and Manchester United are set to battle it out for the signature of Crystal Palace star Michael Olise, according to reports.

The 22-year-old has set the Premier League alight in recent weeks with strong performances against Chelsea, who made a move for the player last summer, and Manchester City.

Following strong interest during the last transfer window, Olise put pen-to-paper on a fresh deal at Selhurst Park which extended his terms until 2027. However, it is a fresh deal that also includes a £60million release clause, which could be triggered at the end of the current season by any interest party.

According to Football Transfers, both Liverpool and United have been monitoring Olise’s progress in South London, as Jurgen Klopp’s side see him as a potential successor to Mohamed Salah, while United look to drive a fresh recruitment plan under the guidance of their new minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

Robbie Fowler tips Mohamed Salah for transfer exit

F‌ormer Liverpool forward Robbie Fowler has tipped Mohamed Salah to part ways with the club in the near future.

Salah, 31, was the subject of heavy transfer interest from the spending powers of the Saudi Pro League last summer, with Al-Ittihad reportedly tabling a verabl offer in the region of £150million for the player.

However, with Jurgen Klopp reluctant to sanction a sale for his star-man, and rightfully so given his 18 goals across all competitions this season so far, Liverpool rebuffed the offer as they looked to keep hold of the Egyptian king for the current season.

Despite his commitment to the club in the summer, Salah is now approaching the final year of his deal which will expire in 2025, as a decision regarding his future at Anfield now looms ahead of the hierachy at the club.

Speaking in his latest column for The Mirror, Fowler commented on a possible exit for Salah, which he now views as inevitable. “Attracting Cristiano Ronaldo to the Pro League last winter gave football in Saudi Arabia a huge lift – and other big names have followed,” he wrote.

‌”Salah will be 32 next summer and will still be coveted as one of the world’s greatest players. But the fact that he is the No 1 Muslim footballer on the planet would make him even more precious in the country that is the cradle of Islam.‌ That’s why I’d be amazed if Saudis don’t still have designs on Liverpool’s No 11.

“I get that supporters are interested in team sheets rather than balance sheets. But the people who run Liverpool have sharp business minds and they will weigh up the value of any player to the club and measure it against his value in the transfer market before acting accordingly.

“‌I would love nothing more than to see Salah end his career in the famous red shirt. But I am a realist who understands that there will probably be a time, in the not-too-distant future, when a move to Saudi Arabia would be the perfect fit for all parties.

Liverpool could make millions from Jordan Henderson return

Liverpool could be set to receive a huge financial boost if former captain Jordan Henderson makes a return to the Premier League.

The 33-year-old swapped Anfield for the Middle East last summer, as he put pen-to-paper on a reported £700,00-per-week to join Reds legend Steven Gerrard at Al Ettifaq. However, the move has not gone to plan for either of the former Liverpool midfield duo.

Henderson and his new teammates currently sit in eighth place in the Saudi Pro League standings, having gone nine games without a win across all competitions. While Gerrard continues to come under increasing pressure, Henderson is now eager to make a return to the Premier League as he continues to struggle with both the weather conditions and abuse he has received for making the move.

While a return will likely not come at his former club, Henderson could be set to make Liverpool millions after they inserted a clause within the initial £12million sale to Al Ettifaq last summer. According to Ben Jacobs via his X/Twitter account, Jurgen Klopp’s side will receive a ‘healthy’ sell-on percentage if he sold in January.

However, he goes on to state that the Saudi club will only considering parting ways with the player if an ‘incredible offer’ arrives, after insisting he is not for sale despite his eagerness to make a return to England.

Liverpool ‘consider’ move for Championship star

Liverpool are reportedly eyeing a move for Leeds United star Crysencio Summerville in future transfer windows.

Both Newcastle United and Aston Villa have been credited with an interested in the 22-year-old winger, with Liverpool becoming the latest Premier League name to be linked with the Netherlands U21 international.

According to Anfield Watch, the scouting team at the club have been monitoring Summerville’s progress ahead of a possible move in the summer, with the club having a good relationship with the player’s representation as Jurgen Klopp looks to recruit young talent amongst his options going forward.

The Leeds star previously had a £20.5million release clause in his current deal at Elland Road, however this has since expired and now. The report also goes on to state that while Summerville is capable of playing in Mohamed Salah’s position, a move will not hinge on the future of the Egyptian star, who was previously linked with a move away to the Saudi Pro League last summer.

Chelsea boss opens up on possible Jordan Henderson transfer

Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has commented on the possibility of signing former Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson.

Henderson, 33, sealed a £12million transfer from Anfield to Saudi Pro League side Al-Etiffaq this summer but has struggled to settle since arriving in the Middle East, as he now looks to make a return to the Premier League, according to the Daily Mail.

Although any return to the top flight of English football would need a huge pay-cut from his widely reported £700,000-per-week deal at Steven Gerrard’s side, Henderson is eager to make the switch after struggling with the heat in Saudi Arabia as well as the abuse he recieved for making the move.

Speaking in a recent press conference, Chelsea boss Pochettino was questioned regarding the possibility of completing a move for Henderson in the near future, where he insisted the club are focusing on their current players amongst the squad. “To be honest we didn’t talk about names,” he told football.london.

“At the moment we are not talking about bringing players. I saw Behdad here in the manager’s room with Paul and Laurence. I think tomorrow we are going to have a chat because we will be in the training ground.

“We didn’t talk about names or talk about position, we didn’t talk to bring players. For now, we are focusing on players like Andrey Santos to see what we are going to do.”

Jordan Henderson ‘desperate’ for Premier League return

Jordan Henderson is ‘desperate’ to return to the Premier League, according to a report.

The England international swapped Merseyside for Saudi Arabia in the summer in a shock £12million move to Al-Ettifaq.

He reunited with Reds icon Steven Gerrard – after the former Rangers and Aston Villa manager was appointed as the Ettifaq head coach.

Matt Hughes from the Daily Mail has reported that Henderson is eager to return to the English top-flight amid their slump.

In the report, Hughes claims that Henderson has told his Ettifaq teammates that he is assessing his options during the Pro League winter break.
