Breaking News: Clarets made an offer to sign 18 year old highly talented player, bid of €1m has been submitted.

The teenager could be the next to arrive at Turf Moor.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Burnley has submitted a signing offer to Anderlecht defender Noah Sadiki, and discussions

with the player’s agency are progressing.

What are the most recent transfers at Burnley?

Prior to their return to the Premier League for the 2023–24 season, the Clarets and Vincent Kompany lost no time in

expanding their roster.

In the previous 48 hours, Romano posted a transfer report from Turf Moor regarding Burnley and Sadiki on Twitter. The

transfer expert disclosed that negotiations with the player’s agency are progressing and that an offer of about €1 million has

been made.

Burnley has made an official offer for Belgian fullback Noah Sadiki; a deal worth approximately €1 million is being explored

with Anderlecht.

Who is Noah Sadiki?

Sadiki is just 18 years of age and is primarily a right-back who can also play on the left or even in a holding midfield role if

required.

The Belgian has come through Anderlecht’s academy, so Kompany may have been keeping an eye on him during his time as

manager of the Jupiler Pro League side.

Hailed as one of Anderlecht’s “highly talented” teenagers by football talent scout Jacek Kulig, Sadiki has made 19 senior

appearances for his current employers, turning out in numerous positions.

He’s valued at a career-high €2m by Transfermarkt and is out of contract in just over 12 months time, so Burnley could be

making a shrewd signing, if their €1m bid is accepted.

The Belgium U20 international could come in and rival the likes of O’Shea, Connor Roberts and Vitinho at right-back, or he

could be initially sent out on loan with a view to breaking through into the first team in the future, but it looks as if a transfer

is one to watch over the coming weeks.

At a combined cost of €22 million, center back Jordan Beyer joined from Borussia Monchengladbach, and full back Dara

O’Shea joined from West Brom. However, with Sadiki on the club’s radar, there might be other defensive signings over the

ensuing weeks.

Burnley to make another offer for Zian Flemming

The Dutchman joined the Lions from Fortuna Sittard for a club-record £1.7m fee last summer, and he has

enjoyed a fine first season in English football.

Whilst it was a disappointing end to the campaign for Millwall as they missed out on the play-offs on the final

day, Flemming shone for the Londoners throughout, scoring 15 goals in the league.

Therefore, it’s perhaps no surprise that he is attracting interest from elsewhere, and Burnley had made an offer of

around £7m as they look to bring the player up north.

That first bid was rejected by Millwall, but that hasn’t deterred the newly-promoted side, as Football Insider has

confirmed that they are ‘preparing’ another offer, and there is feeling that an agreement will be reached.

That will be a blow for Gary Rowett, who is trying to build a side that can push for promotion again next season, and it has been a productive window so far for the Lions.

Kevin Nisbet moved to The Den from Hibernian, with Joe Bryan set to follow through the door on a free as his deal with Fulham expires.

Millwall summer transfer plans

As mentioned, it has been a good start to the window for Millwall, but it would be a major blow if Flemming went

as he was a major source for goals last season.

It wasn’t just goals either with the player, as he brings a lot to the team with his intelligence and technical quality,

so there’s no denying that he would be sorely missed if he did move on.

But, the reality is that every player has a price, and if Burnley stump up the cash, they will accept the offer and

then it’s about reinvesting, and trying to make the squad better on the whole.

Then, it’s about trusting the scouts and the recruitment team to get it right, and the fact they brought in

Flemming for such a low fee shows they deserve backing.

For Flemming, the chance to go to the Premier League is going to appeal, and this update suggests he may get

that opportunity in the coming weeks. If it happens, he will be missed, but he has done very well for Millwall

since his arrival.
