West Ham United are reportedly in advanced discussions with Chelsea over a deal for Conor Gallagher, with the Hammers believed to be at the head of the queue for his signature.
The midfielder’s future is currently the subject of much speculation, with a number of clubs said to be keen to sign him
from Mauricio Pochettino‘s side during the summer market.
According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, discussions over a deal for Gallagher are “well advanced”, with the transfer
potentially going through for a fee in the region of €35m (£30m).
The 23-year-old, who has also been linked with Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and Brighton & Hove
Albion, scored three goals and registered one assist in 45 outings for Chelsea last term.
Gallagher has another two years left to run on his contract at Stamford Bridge but will allegedly be allowed to leave for the
right price during the summer market.
Meanwhile, Wolverhampton Wanderers are allegedly close to bringing Matt Doherty back to Molineux following his
release from Atletico Madrid at the end of June.
The Republic of Ireland international left Tottenham Hotspur for Atletico in January, but he made two appearances
for Diego Simeone‘s side during a disappointing spell.
According to the Express & Star, Wolves are now in advanced negotiations over a return for the 31-year-old, who is
preparing to move back to the club that he left in 2020.
Doherty played 302 times for Wolves during his first spell at Molineux between 2010 and 2020, and he is now seemingly set
to become part of Julen Lopetegui‘s squad for the 2023-24 campaign.
Staying in the Premier League, Nathan Redmond is allegedly preparing to undergo a medical with Burnley ahead of
signing a contract with Vincent Kompany‘s side.
The 29-year-old is available on a free transfer this summer, having left Besiktas at the end of June.
Redmond represented the Turkish giants on 28 occasions during the 2022-23 campaign, scoring six goals and registering six
assists in the process.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the experienced attacker is preparing to travel to Burnley to sign a
contract with the newly-promoted outfit.
Redmond, who has previously played for Birmingham City, Norwich City and Southampton, is said to have rejected offers
from Europe and Saudi Arabia to move to Turf Moor.
Meanwhile, Romano has also claimed that Chelsea are closing in on the signature of highly-rated Newcastle youngster Ollie
Harrison.
The 15-year-old has been linked with moves to Brighton and Wolves this summer, but he is seemingly set to make the switch
to Stamford Bridge.
The Italian journalist claims that the Blues are close to coming to an agreement over a deal for Harrison, who has been
capped by England Under-16s.
Chelsea are currently building towards their 2023-24 Premier League opener against Liverpool on August 13, while
Newcastle will begin their season at home to Aston Villa on August 12
