Breaking News: Burnley Shows Interest in Highly-Rated Custodian With Expiring Contract

According to reports in Spain, Burnley is interested in goalkeeper Arnau Tenas, whose deal with Barcelona is set to expire at

the end of June.

Tenas, 22, is the captain of Barcelona B and has played 49 times for the Camp Nou team’s backup unit to date.

Although he has made no appearances for the La Liga champions, Xavi Hernandez’s team is willing to extend the highly-

rated Spaniard’s contract.

According to the Spanish newspaper Sport, Burnley, a newcomer to the Premier League, are now interested in the 22-year-

old goalkeeper as part of their attempts to stay in the top division next season.

The Turf Moor team is looking to expand its options for the upcoming season, and they have already let go of 18 players,

including Lukas Jensen, Will Norris, and Lewis Thomas, three periphery goalkeepers.

According to rumors, Tenas’s manager at Burnley, Vincent Kompany, is a fan, and his team is keeping a close check on the

goalkeeper’s contract issue.

Xavi’s team is reportedly required to speak with Tenas’ agents in order to prevent the goalie from leaving the Spanish powerhouses for free, despite Barcelona’s efforts to urge him to stay at the Camp Nou past the summer.

Tenas’s ability to be persuaded to remain at Barcelona even after his contract with the Catalan team expires is still up in the air.

However, everyone will be watching Burnley to see if they can take advantage of the current circumstance and wrest Tenas away from the Camp Nou.
