The talented young center back recently completed a standout season on loan at Burnley, which resulted in the Clarets’

promotion to the Premier League.

The team led by Vincent Kompany won the Championship by playing outstanding football.

Now that they are back in the top division, they can look forward to playing City on the first day of the 2023–24 season. And

one wonders if Harwood-Bellis may be starting for Burnley against City on a regular basis.

They are thought to be one of several clubs interested in buying him. And there is now word on a valuation of the player.

Manchester City want £15 million for Taylor Harwood-Bellis

According to journalist Alan Nixon, City would be open to selling Harwood-Bellis for around £15 million this summer.

There will likely not be anything imminent on the 21-year-old. He is currently with England at the U21s Euros in Georgia.

But after the competition, he’ll undoubtedly meet with the club for a meeting.

Harwood-Bellis has a lot of potential and has played 73 times in the Championship for Burnley, Stoke City, and Blackburn Rovers. He also has good experience under his belt.

It would be challenging for him to make the City first team, though.

The center backs for Pep Guardiola’s team all performed admirably last year. Of course, there is currently chatter of Josko Gvardiol joining from RB Leipzig.

Prior to a probable transfer, it appears that the Croatian international has now reached an agreement with City.

More outstanding work by City Harwood-Bellis would be £15 million for Taylor Harwood-Bellis.Bellis has played for City’s first team on eight occasions, however he has never competed in the Premier League.

Maybe during preseason Guardiola will give him a look. But it’s hard to imagine him sticking around the club.

Last year, he was outstanding, and perhaps Kompany will tell Burnley’s board to agree to pay City’s £15 million asking price.

The previous captain of City adores Harwood-Bellis. In September of last year, he said this of him: “I think his biggest

quality, that is perhaps more difficult to see on the eye, is his leadership and his incredible drive and high standards.”

He would benefit much from doing it.

The players and the system are familiar to him. Finally getting to put himself to the test in the Premier League.

If Harwood-Bellis is sold for £15 million, it will serve as yet another example of how well City’s support system for its young players is.

What attracted Burnley to West Brom defender Dara O’Shea, according to Vincent Kompany,

The Clarets announced the signing of the 24-year-old centre-back on Friday for a rumoured £7m fee from West Brom.

O’Shea, who has also earned 19 Republic of Ireland caps, has agreed to a four-year contract with Turf Moor.

“It’s great to welcome Dara to Burnley and we know he can play a big part in the progression of our football club,” Kompany

said on the team’s official website.

“Dars is a leader with experience and expertise of playing at the highest level. He is strong at the back and confident going

forward.

We are excited to work with Dara and think he will be a terrific addition to our team.

O’Shea effectively replaces Taylor Harwood-Bellis, who has returned to parent club Manchester City following his season-long loan spell.

He will now provide competition for Jordan Beyer, Ameen Al-Dakhil and Hjalmar Ekdal, while Luke McNally is expected to go out on loan again in the Championship following his spell with Coventry City during the second half of last season.

O’Shea has been an important member of the West Brom squad since his emergence through the club’s academy.

The Dublin-born defender made the move to the West Midlands in 2015 from Irish outfit St Kevin’s Boys.
