Breaking News: Burnley launch bid of £9m for 22 year old Sunderland star, deal set to be finalized.

The 22 year old sunderland  star is wanted by Vincent Kompany, who seems to be desperate to get a deal over the line.

According to Keith Downie of Sky Sports, Burnley has made a bid in the neighborhood of £9 million to try to entice

Sunderland’s Jack Clarke to Turf Moor.

In 50 competitive games, the former Tottenham Hotspur player had a very good 2022–23 season, scoring 11 goals and

dishing out 13 assists. His services helped the Black Cats advance to the play-offs.

He was especially helpful because the Wearside team lacked striker options for much of the season due to Ross Stewart’s

extended absence from the field and Ellis Simms’ Everton return in January.

Even though Joe Gelhardt entered the game, he had little influence, and the Black Cats’ forward line lacked significant

depth.

But in his first season as a regular Sunderland player, Clarke showed he could be a game-changer in the final third alongside

players like Amad Diallo and Patrick Roberts.

When does Jack Clarke’s contract run out?

If Clarke only had one year left on his contract, the Black Cats may have been forced into selling him but he signed a four-

year contract last summer.

That means he could remain at the Stadium of Light until 2026, so the Wearside outfit don’t need to cash in on him this

summer if they don’t wish to.

They are in a much different situation with Ross Stewart, who only has one year left on his deal and is yet to sign an

extension.

Would Jack Clarke be a good signing for Burnley?

Given that Nathan Tella has not yet returned to the Clarets, having someone like Clarke on the wing may be very helpful.

The key to Kompany’s team’s survival may not just be finding a striker who can consistently find the back of the net, but also

finding players all over the field who can contribute in the final third.

Although Clarke won’t necessarily succeed at the highest level right immediately, he is still young, confident, and has

something to prove to Tottenham Hotspur after his unsuccessful stint in the English capital.

It may not be difficult to agree on personal conditions because the player has demonstrated a willingness to relocate to other

regions of the country in the past and because he is still young and has lots of time to impress.

However, you think Burnley will need to significantly increase their offer if they want to close an agreement.
