Breaking News: Burnley Kompany Announce 26 Year Old Legend goes Danish

After four years at Burnley, having signed from Leeds United in the summer of 2019, goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell has

today joined Danish Superliga club Aarhus Gymnastikforening (AGF) in a season-long loan deal.

His opportunities at Burnley have been limited, firstly by Nick Pope and last season by Arijanet Muric. He spent his third

season as a Burnley player on loan at Sheffield Wednesday but in the other three seasons he totalled just twenty-four first

team appearances with just twelve of those coming in league games including his three substitute appearances last season.

With two more goalkeepers having signed this summer, firstly Lawrence Vigouroux from Leyton Orient and then

Manchester City’s James Trafford, his chances of first team football looked less likely for a player who has now been capped

39 times by Northern Ireland.

That loan at Sheffield Wednesday in the 2021/22 season saw him play all but three of their league games with his final

games for them coming in the League One play-off games against Sunderland. They have been favourites to sign him over

the past few weeks but have missed out with Peacock-Farrell opting for this move to Denmark.

He signed for Burnley in the summer of 2019 for a fee believed to be around £2.5 million. He had a wait for his first game.

He didn’t feature at all in his first season and debuted in the League Cup game against Millwall at The Den in September

2020 with his first Premier League game coming in November of that year at Manchester City. His final game for us came at

Bristol City in the last away game of last season.

He’ll be joining a club managed by former Leeds boss Uwe Rösler although Peacock-Farrell at that time was a few months

away from his first team debut at Leeds.

We wish him the very best at Aarhus.
