Latest Leicester City news from LeicestershireLive as Manchester City goalkeeper James Trafford closes in on a move to
Burnley.
Burnely are reportedly “in advanced talks” with Manchester City over a £19million deal for Leicester City-linked James
Trafford.
The shot-stopper has impressed for England’s under-21 side during the current European Championships. He has played
every minute of the tournament so far for the Young Lions and is yet to concede a goal.
Trafford spent last season on-loan at League One side Bolton and new Foxes boss Enzo Maresca is said to have been keen on
bringing him the King Power Stadium this summer.
But Sky Sports News report that last season’s Championship champions Burnley are set to seal a deal for the 20-year-old
keeper. They claim that the deal could be worth up to £19m, with an initial payment of £15m plus £4m in add-ons.
It is also claimed that the deal will also include a 20 per cent profit sell-on clause, a buy-back clause and a matching offer
clause.
Zack Steffen, another goalkeeper for Man City, has been linked to Leicester, but the USA international shot off the rumors. I
haven’t heard from my agency, but all of my pals have told me about this Leicester [story],” he claimed.
So I’m just concentrating on getting well and strengthening my foundation, and I’ll let the Lord work out the rest.
Prior to Maresca’s first season as manager at the East Midlands club, the Foxes have so far signed midfielder Harry Winks
from Tottenham and center defender Conor Coady from Wolves.
