Breaking News: Berrettini’s Triumph Over ‘Peasant’ Rant-Ridden Tsitsipas Sparks Outrage and Debate Due to…

Stefanos Tsitsipas appeared to call his opponent Matteo Berrettini a ‘peasant’ as he unleashed into a rant at the Swiss Open Gstaad in Switzerland and was defeated 7-6(2), 7-5 in the semi-finals against the Italian after producing an erratic display that included unforced errors.
His frustration boiled over in the second set with Berrettini produced a shot at the net following a misjudgement by the World No.2. The Greek then started to launch into a rant which was translated by a Greek outlet.

“We don’t know. You don’t play with quality, but you’re the same as always,” translated Greek outlet Proto Thema as per Tsitsipas.

This featured him shouting the word peasant. But while the outlet did emphasize it wasn’t entirely aimed at Berrettini or indeed himself. Tsitsipas himself didn’t blame Berrettini after the match and didn’t zoom in on his issue with him.
“I wasn’t as consistent as he was,” he admitted. “I felt like he had longer serves than me, he was winning more easy points than I was on serve. I had to work harder to earn points.”
Tsitsipas has never been far from controversy from his comments of calling girlfriend Paula Badosa a hippo down to intense criticism he received for saying men and women are not the same. As well as that the role of men and women is to provide for their husband which was deemed as widely misogynistic. “My intentions were completely different from what people saw. I didn’t see it as sexist or misogynistic, as it was treated by many people,” he said on that issue.
Berrettini seemed to benefit from this tie as he went on to win the title defeating Quentin Halys 7-5, 6-0 in the final on Sunday afternoon. While the Greek will head towards the Olympic Games after a horrific run through over the past few months.

Spain’s young tennis star Carlos Alcaraz has revealed that he has to ‘restrained’ himself from playing certain kind of shots because of his coach Juan Carlos Ferrero. The 21-year-old is already regarded as one of the best players currently playing in men’s tennis along with Italy’s Jannik Sinner and Serbia’s Novak Djokovic.
Alcaraz was recently quoted in a report stating that he restrains himself from playing certain shots to ensure that his coach is not angry with him. “Many times I feel more restrained than I should because of him,” he said. “Because of what might happen to me later. Yes, I notice it, yes. Every time I do one of those shots that are not supposed to be taken, the ones for fun, sometimes I don’t even look at it because I know that he’s going to give me a slap from the box.”

Alcaraz is going through a fabulous season. The current world number three started the campaign rather slowly as he was knocked out of the Australian Open after losing in the quarterfinal to Germany’s Alexander Zverev with a score of 6-1, 6-3, 6-7, 6-4. From there on, Alcaraz has proved to be rather unstoppable especially in bigger events.

The young Spaniard lifted the Indian Wells event after beating Russia’s Daniil Medvedev in the final in straight sets with a score of 7-6, 6-1. Alcaraz then lifted the French Open title for the first time in his career as he defeated Zverev in the final in a five-set thrilling contest with a score of 6–3, 2–6, 5–7, 6–1, 6–2. That win was even more unique, considering the El Palmar-born star started the campaign with a forearm injury. Alcaraz’s last and most recent triumph came at Wimbledon, where he defeated Djokovic in the final in straight sets with a score of 6-2, 6-2, 7-6.
