the coach left the Club with the permission of both parties, West Ham United can reveal.
The assistant coach leaves West Ham in order to pursue new coaching chances outside the Premier League after joining the Hammers
as a first-team coach in February 2020.
After being a member of the coaching staff that helped West Ham win the UEFA Europa Conference League trophy last month, Nevin,
who has previously worked in Australia, New Zealand, China, Brazil, and Qatar, departs east London.
Nevin has contributed to the success of both Club and Country in recent seasons after making his second return to the England
national team setup under manager Gareth Southgate in August 2021.
Paul has been a key player for us during his time here, and I want to thank him for all of his help and dedication while at West Ham
United, according to manager David Moyes.
We wish him luck as he tests himself in a new setting because of his high level of coaching ambition.
Nevin declared: “I’ll always remember my time at West Ham and the chance I had to work there with tremendous affection.
“In the past three and a half years, West Ham has experienced a period of incredible success, which culminated in last season’s
Europa Conference League victory, giving the Club a fantastic opportunity and platform to even greater things.
“I want to thank all the players I’ve worked with and the staff I’ve had the privilege to work with over this time.
“I wish the team continued success and am eager to watch West Ham’s triumphs from a distance,” the player said.
All of us at West Ham United would like to express our gratitude to Paul for his dedication and commitment throughout his time with
the Club and our best wishes for the future.

Angelo Ogbonna signs new contract
West Ham United is delighted to confirm that Angelo Ogbonna has signed a new one-year contract with the Club.
The popular Italian defender – the second-longest serving player at the Club behind Aaron Cresswell – has put pen to paper on a 12-
month extension after his previous deal expired at the end of June.
Ogbonna, who made his 232nd appearance for the Club as a late substitute in the UEFA Europa Conference League final victory over
ACF Fiorentina in Prague in June, is looking forward to entering his ninth season in a Claret and Blue shirt.
Speaking to whufc.com, he said: “It feels really good to remain with West Ham. I’m really pleased with what we’ve achieved, and I’m
pleased with what we did last season. I want to thank the Club and, as I always say, I’m here to help. Now I’m here to stay as well and I
really want to keep going and pushing on now.
“Everyone welcomed me in the best way when I joined West Ham in 2015 and made me feel like a part of the family here. That was the
most important thing and that’s why I’m so pleased to stay here. I want to keep giving back
He also provided one of the most memorable moments of the Farewell Boleyn campaign, nodding home his first Hammers goal – an
FA Cup fourth round replay winner late in extra-time against Liverpool.
Having quickly established himself, Ogbonna went on to become a reliable and consistent performer as the Irons settled into their
new home at London Stadium. In 2020 he was named runner-up in the Hammer of the Year award, and later that year earned a recall
to the Italy national squad.
In November 2021, Ogbonna suffered a serious knee injury during a Premier League fixture against Liverpool, which kept him out for
the remainder of the campaign, but he fought his way back to first team action, making his return in August 2022 in the opening game
of our victorious UECL campaign – a qualifying play-off win over Danish side Viborg FF.
He went on to feature eight times in the Club’s glorious run to Prague, and 30 times in total as West Ham won their first major
silverware in 43 years and secured European football for a third season in succession.
Everyone at West Ham United is delighted that Angelo will remain with the Club and wishes him the very best for the season ahead.
