BREAKING NEWS: 23 YEAR OLD STARLET IS SET TO LEAVE ARSENAL THIS SUMMER TO JOIN BURNLEY.

The 23 year old star, who spent the second part of the previous season on loan at Crystal Palace, is reportedly planning to

leave Arsenal this summer, according to The Evening Standard.

The Arsenal midfielder is apparently being actively watched by Burnley, whose manager Vincent Kompany is familiar with

the player from their time together at Anderlecht.

 

 

 

 

 

Burnley is interested in Lokonga this summer, according to the Daily Mail, and the Arsenal are open to the idea of giving the

Belgian midfielder another loan.

Prior to sporting director Monchi moving to Aston Villa, Sevilla was another team interested in signing Lokonga for the

summer. It’s unclear how their interest may have been impacted by that departure.

There was a rumor that Arsenal was considering selling Lokonga permanently in May.

However, if Sevilla were to drop out of the running, a loan might become more likely because the Gunners would find it

difficult to benefit from Burnley’s one-horse race.

The Evening Standard made no mention of whether Lokonga is more likely to go on another loan or leave permanently.

Lokonga joined Arsenal in 2021 after leaving Anderlecht for roughly £15 million plus add-ons, and he had a rather successful

first season.

The midfielder, however, left Mikel Arteta’s squad in the second part of 2021–2022, and after failing to make much of an

impact in the first half of the most recent campaign. He then joined Crystal Palace on loan.

Lokonga’s tenure on loan was uneven; he started off as a regular in the Palace lineup before reverting to the bench in the last

few months.

The international player from Belgium played nine times for Palace. However, the loss of Patrick Vieira, the manager who

brought him in, did not improve his chances at the club.
