As Burnley gets ready to return to the Premier League in August, Cody Drameh of Leeds United is still a possible target.
In the upcoming weeks, there will be a lot of interest in transferring a number of Leeds’ promising young players.
Last season, many players were loaned to the Championship; yet, only a small number of those players appear to have
futures at the club beyond this summer.
Cody Drameh to Burnley?
The Athletic are now reporting that Burnley’s interest in signing Leeds’ Cody Drameh to strengthen their right-back position
remains in July.
It was heavily reported earlier in the summer that Drameh was a target for both Burnley and their fellow promoted side
Luton Town – whom Drameh spent the second half of last season with as they went up through the play-offs.
Will Leeds sell?
Drameh was due to be one of the players that reported back for pre-season testing at Leeds Beckett University yesterday and
nothing has suggested he wasn’t present.
Meanwhile, the above report about Burnley’s summer strategy notes that Drameh is one of two right-backs that they are
keen on, alongside Anderlecht’s teenage full-back Noah Sadiki.
We should be doing everything to convince Drameh to stay, and I do think that any move for him should be seriously
weighed up properly.
Going to Burnley would be as backup to Connor Roberts, who isn’t going to lose his starting spot any time soon.
Drameh needs to be playing, and if Luton come in for him, then fair enough – but otherwise, we need to show him he’ll start
weekly.

Club ‘stepped in’ to sign Burnley player – Belief deal can be carried out on favourable terms
Beşiktaş are in the picture to sign Burnley’s Wout Weghorst for the second time, according to a report from Turkey.
Fotomaç claims that Beşiktaş manager enol Güneş needs a backup for the Cameroonian due in part to the fact that he is
anticipated to play for his country at the next Africa Cup of Nations in January and February. The Burnley player would be
useful in this situation.
It is alleged that the Black Eagles’ leaders’stepped in’ to sign the 30-year-old in addition to offering him to their manager.
The Netherlands international is not in a rush to decide at this time.
The frontman and Burnley are ‘expected’, according to the source, to accept the parameters put up by the Istanbul club if a
transfer is to proceed.
Weghorst struggled to score when on loan at Manchester United for the second half of the previous campaign.
