BREAKING NEWS: £100m player on his way to joining Liverpool MIGHT BE A DONE DEAL

£25m player pictured on a flight amid rumours he could be joining Liverpool

Andre Trindade looks set for a move to Europe this January, and that move could be edging ever closer.

The £25m man has been linked with a move to Liverpool this month, and the midfielder has only added fuel to the fire with his social media activity over the past few hours.

Indeed, Andre has been active on Instagram, and there are starting to be whispers that he is on the move.

Andre has posted three stories on his Instagram over the past 24 hours showing him at the airport and on a flight.

One of the pictures posted at the airport was captioned ‘are breve Brasil’ meaing ‘see you later, Brazil.’ So the idea that Andre is making a permanent move is certainly there.

Of course, it could just be that the player and his partner are going on a holiday. After all, the Brazilian season is on a break with Fluminense now not playing until January 19th.

However, it could be that the player is on a flight to make his long-awaited move to Europe, and it wouldn’t be a shock if he was UK-bound amid so many links to Premier League clubs.

Liverpool have been the most strongly linked with the player reportedly very keen to join the Reds.

Andre is expected to move this month, and by posting a picture of himself on a flight at this time of year, he’s only adding to the speculation around his future.

Whether or not a deal is imminent remains to be seen, but with Andre potentially on his way to Europe in the coming hours, this could be one to watch.

Of course, even if Andre is on a flight, that doesn’t mean he’s off to Liverpool. Fulham and Arsenal have also been linked with the player, so perhaps he could make a move to either of those two London clubs instead.

Rergardless, this is a situation to keep an eye on in the coming days.

Steven Gerrard clings to Saudi job as Jordan Henderson struggles worsen

Former Liverpool captains and teammates Steven Gerrard and Jordan Henderson have both struggled since moving to Saudi Arabia, with the former’s job hanging by a thread.

Steven Gerrard and Jordan Henderson disappointed as Liverpool legends face new low in Saudi

Steven Gerrard’s move to Al-Ettifaq hasn’t exactly gone as planned, with big-name signings like former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson playing a part in the struggle.

Reds legend Gerrard, whose previous management job was with Aston Villa, took over at the Saudi Pro League side in the summer. He brought in several European players, including Moussa Dembele and Gini Wijnaldum, but the results haven’t been great.

Henderson also joined the Dammam-based club after 12 years at Anfield. The England international is still part of Gareth Southgate’s plans, but his struggles have mirrored those of Gerrard as the manager finds himself under increasing pressure.

There’s still time to turn things around for Gerrard, who has so far been shielded by his status. However, if the struggles continue, patience may run even thinner than it already is among the Ettifaq board.

According to The Guardian, only Gerrard’s reputation from his playing days is keeping him in a job. The same publication also notes that Henderson has “visibly struggled” with conditions.

Several Saudi Pro League bosses have already lost their jobs this season. That number includes Gerrard’s former Liverpool team-mate Igor Biscan, who lasted less than three months at Al-Shabab.

Nuno Espirito Santo, who won the league with Al-Ittihad last season, was given his marching orders. He’s now back in the Premier League, managing Nottingham Forest.

Ettifaq are currently mid-table, but that’s only due to their quick start. After winning five of their first seven games, they’ve only managed one win in the following 12 matches.

Gerrard’s side haven’t won a game in eight attempts, scoring just three goals during this period. They were also knocked out of the Kings Cup in October, with former Reds striker Sadio Mane’s goal securing a win for Al-Nassr.

Henderson had some good moments with Dembele, especially when he assisted the former Celtic striker twice in a victory over Damac. However, since Dembele got injured in October, Henderson’s impact has lessened.

Gerrard said: “It’s clear we need to recruit extremely strongly in the next window. We have to bring better players into the building.”

Roberto Firmino, another former Liverpool star, is rumoured to be joining Ettifaq. Despite scoring a hat-trick on his league debut for Al-Ahli, he hasn’t scored since and has lost his starting spot.

When asked about Firmino, Gerrard told reporters: “I’ve been a massive fan. I’ve followed him for years. At the moment, he’s Al-Ahli’s player, so it’s very difficult for me to comment on that situation. But I’ve loved Bobby Firmino since the first day I watched him and I’m a huge fan.”
