Sheffield Wednesday midfielder, looks increasingly likely to make a move overseas after being offered a long-term deal abroad.
The Star recently reported that Turkish Super Lig teams Antalyaspor and Hatayspor were interested in signing the 22-year-old ahead of the 2023–24 season.
The Star now knows that both clubs have offered the former Manchester City player three-year contracts in an effort to entice him away from Hillsborough.
Although S6 has extended an offer to “Fizz,” it now appears likely that he will leave when his current contract expires, with the two teams indicated above leading the competition for his services, especially in light of Darren Moore’s departure.
If negotiations go smoothly, there is a chance that the midfielder will sign a contract with his new team before the end of the month, which would leave Wednesday needing to fill another position in an already thin roster.
Dele-Bashiru has played 86 games for Wednesday over the course of his three-season stint, and his most recent campaign saw him at his best, scoring nine goals and dishing out nine assists as Moore’s team was promoted from League One and back into the Championship.
Marvin Johnson, the other player currently in contract talks with the team, could also be on the verge of leaving as other teams in the second and third tiers think about perhaps making an offering hin a deal for next season.
