Detroit Lions linebacker Derrick Barnes, who has been on injured reserve since suffering knee injuries in Week 3 against the Arizona Cardinals, was recently seen back in the team’s facilities. Barnes had MCL and PCL injuries but avoided ACL damage, which has been a relief in terms of his recovery outlook. He spent part of his recovery period in West Lafayette, Indiana, where he played college football at Purdue, before returning to Detroit’s Allen Park facility earlier this week.
Barnes’ return to the locker room is an encouraging sign for the Lions, especially given his contributions to the defense before his injury. While there’s no clear timeline for his return to the field, his presence at the team facility suggests he’s progressing in his rehabilitation process.
