AJAX GREENLIGTHS BURNLEY AS THEY FINALIZE MOVE FOR 8 GOALS VERSATILE STAR, WITH £13M POSSIBLE BUY OPTION AS CLARETS SEEKS TO FILL KEY PREMIER LEAUGUE POSITION AGAINST CITY

 

Burnley are closing on a loan with option to buy for £13m for Ajax winger Mohamed Daramy.

Personal terms still need to be agreed between the Clarets and the 21-year-old attacker.

The Denmark international scored eight times on loan at Copenhagen last season and Vincent Kompany will hope he can go some way to replacing the goals and

creativity provided by Nathan Tella in their Championship title-winning campaign.

Tella has returned to Southampton following his loan at Turf Moor and impressed on the opening day of the season against Sheffield Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Burnley are in advanced talks with Aston Villa on a £12m deal for midfielder Aaron Ramsey – not to be confused with the

Ramsey, 20, is an exciting prospect and scored eight goals in 31 games across loans at Norwich and Middlesbrough last season. He is the younger brother of Villa

team-mate Jacob.

Burnley have also asked about Lommel midfielder Vinicius Souza as talks with Arsenal for Albert Sambi Lokonga drag on.

The Brazilian defensive midfielder has a list of admirers and multiple clubs were queueing up to take him on loan last summer before Espanyol won the race.

Lokonga has proven himself to be a solid ball-carrier in two seasons in the Premier League but faces stiff competition at the Emirates and could leave to get more

game time.
