The 32-year-old Gundogan’s contract with City expires at the end of the month, and no decision has been made regarding his future. Recent sources claim that Gundogan and City are nearing a new contract, but the player’s agent allegedly disavowed the claims.
Another player with a hazy future is Bernardo. Although he is still under contract, he has expressed a desire to leave City in the past in order to go back closer to his home, and a summer exit has been suggested as a way to do that this season.
