‘I believe’: TalkSport pundit names 23-year-old Liverpool player as one of the season’s surprises.

Tony Cascarino has named Dominik Szoboszlai, who joined Liverpool this summer, as one of the Premier League’s surprises this season.

Speaking on TalkSport, the pundit heaped praise on the 23-year-old Reds midfielder, who has been a revelation for Jurgen Klopp’s side since his arrival at Anfield.

Szoboszlai joined Liverpool from RB Leipzig for £60 million this summer, and Cascarino has named the Hungarian international one of the Premier League’s best surprises.

“I’ll probably go for Szoboszlai at Liverpool,” Cascarino said. Obviously, there is some bias in there. But I believe they have far more than they anticipated.

“I think they recognized him as a really good attacking midfielder with a lot of pace.” I believe he has truly arrived in Liverpool and established a new standard. Remember, the entire midfield was demolished.

“And Liverpool required reconstruction.” And I thought he’d come in and shown from the start that he’s going to be a great player for Liverpool over the next five or six years.

Liverpool struck gold with Szoboszlai this summer

With recent praise from the likes of Harvey Elliott and Paul Merson, it’s safe to say that Szoboszlai has been a smash hit in the Premier League at Liverpool.

Under Klopp, the creative midfielder appears to be able to do no wrong, with Szoboszlai’s passing, shooting, and work-rate all receiving high praise this season.

While £60 million was a significant outlay for Szoboszlai, the gamble has already paid off tenfold for Liverpool, who have landed a true superstar in the Hungarian.

With only 23 years old, there’s no telling how far Szoboszlai can go at Liverpool, but early indications suggest that the midfielder has the potential to become a true superstar for the Anfield giants in this new era.
