Luis Diaz’s dad reveals his son’s Next Premier League club as Liverpool Agrees To transfer The Star Due To…

The father of Luis Diaz discloses his son’s “dream” team while Liverpool issues a transfer warning.

Luis Diaz has been described as a "loyal Barcelona fan" by his dad

One of Liverpool’s better business decisions in recent years has been the recruitment of Luis Diaz, but the Reds have been informed that he may leave if a particular club approaches them.

Luis Diaz’s father has warned Liverpool about the winger’s future and said that his son’s “dream” is to play for Barcelona.

After moving from Porto to the Reds in January 2022, Diaz, 26, became a fan favorite and a vital member of Jurgen Klopp’s team.

The Colombian international is content at Anfield, but according to his father, who was just freed from a 12-day kidnapping nightmare, Diaz might be tempted to leave if La Liga powerhouse Barcelona ever came calling.

Speaking to Colombian TV channel Win Sports following his release, dad Luis Manuel Diaz is quoted as saying by Noticias RCN: “The truth is that I know very little about Barcelona at the moment.

It is true that Luis is a loyal Barcelona fan and it would be his dream to go there. So far I would like to thank Porto and Liverpool for the way they welcomed him and received him.

“Luis is a player who finds it easy to win over because of the way he is, because of his humility, his work, his dedication, he is a very disciplined player, thank God. There would be no problem if Luis came to Barcelona because it is a top team and one of the best in the world.”

Diaz boosted his stock on Thursday by scoring both of Colombia’s goals in a 2-1 comeback victory over Brazil, but there’s been little talk of a move away from Merseyside in the near future. The 26-year-old has a contract until 2027 and is loved by Reds boss Klopp.

While his father was still being held captive, Diaz came off the bench to score a 95th-minute equaliser against Luton, snatching a 1-1 draw which has helped put Liverpool second in the Premier League table. Klopp remarked post-match: It’s wonderful that he wants to be here and he gets that [goal] but that’s it. A super important goal and very important for him and emotional, but that’s it.”

The Reds boss, who pushed Liverpool to secure a £37m deal with Porto nearly two years ago, went on to say of Diaz: “When he’s on the pitch, he’s always involved in special things. We knew he would be a threat.”

The two clubs responsible for Everton’s points deduction revealed

The two clubs responsible for Everton’s points deduction have been revealed.

The Toffees have been hit with a 10 point deduction by the Premier League for a breach of profit and sustainability rules.

The hefty deduction is the largest in the history of the Premier League and puts Sean Dyche’s side into the relegation zone.

According to the Premier League, Everton admitted during a five-day hearing it was in breach of the league’s Profitablity and Sustainability Rules with the Commission “determining Everton FC’s PSR Calculation for the relevant period resulted in a loss of £124.5m, as contended by the Premier League, which exceeded the threshold of £105m permitted under the PSRs.”

The points deduction comes after Leeds United and Burnley write to the Premier League asking it to investigate whether Everton broke spending rules during the pandemic.

A joined letter signed off b Leeds chief executive Angus Kinnear and Burnley chairman Alan Pace is what promoted the investigation, according to The Athletic.

Leeds and Burnley asked for clarity over whether Everton’s losses of £371.8 million over the past three years break financial fair play (FFP) rules.

The rules allow for maximum losses of £105 million over a three-year period.

Financial losses were adjusted to allow clubs during the pandemic, but the complaints argued that Everton’s apparent Covid-19 losses were far larger than other clubs.

Leeds and Burnley wanted the league to appoint an independent commission to look at Everton’s records, with an Independent Commission dealing with Everton’s point deduction.

In a statement in response to the points deduction, Everton say they are ‘shock and disappointed’ by the ruling and have vowed to appeal the decision.

The statement read: “Everton Football Club is both shocked and disappointed by the ruling of the Premier League’s Commission.

“The Club believes that the Commission has imposed a wholly disproportionate and unjust sporting sanction.

The Club has already communicated its intention to appeal the decision to the Premier League. The appeal process will now commence and the Club’s case will be heard by an Appeal Board appointed pursuant to the Premier League’s rules in due course.”

Jamie Carragher slams Premier League decision to dock Everton points, claims ‘other clubs’ are getting away with it

Jamie Carragher has slammed the Premier League for their decision to dock Everton 10 points, believing that other sides are getting away with it.

The Toffees have been handed a hefty 10-point deduction over Financial Fair Play violations, with the Premier League confirming the news in a statement.

Everton soon released a statement of their own in response, stating that they are ‘shocked and disappointed’ by the ruling.

Sean Dyche’s side currently sit 14th place in the top-flight table, having picked up 14 points from 12 games.

A deduction would make them the only the second team, after Portsmouth, to be handed a points punishment in Premier League history and drop deep into the relegation zone.

Meanwhile, former Liverpool defender-turned-pundit has had his say on the decision, calling the punishment “excessive and not right”.

He tweeted: “The 10 point deduction for Everton is excessive & not right, considering they have been working with the PL about this for the last couple of years.

“Would it have been better to be evasive & try & drag it out like other clubs?

“No doubt relegated clubs will have put big pressure on the PL to deal with Everton, but when you consider 6 clubs tried to leave the PL & there was no sanction at all it doesn’t feel right.

“Until other clubs are sanctioned Everton will feel they are being used to show there is no need for an independent regulator, and they are right.”

Table-topping Manchester City are also at risk of suffering a similar fate after being accused of more than 100 separate FFP breaches between the 2009/10 and 2017/18 seasons.

Pep Guardiola’s side are also at risk of having their titles striped, although many believe that they will get off scot-free.
