Liverpool star Ryan Gravenberch gives brutally honest answer Jurgen Klopp will love
Ryan Gravenberch has enjoyed a strong start to life at Liverpool after leaving Bayern Munich.
Unlike what he went through at Bayern Munich, Ryan Gravenberch is obviously enjoying his football at Liverpool right now, and it’s all thanks to Jurgen Klopp merely keeping his word.
A little more than a year ago, Gravenberch made his debut with Ajax and Bayern emerged victorious in the signing competition.
The highly-rated midfielder was hopeful of taking the next step of his career with the Bundesliga giants.
But Julian Nageslmann and Thomas Tuchel were seemingly unconvinced by Gravenberch, who struggled for minutes in Germany.
He started just six games in all competitions and was looking for a way out after just 12 months at the club.
Liverpool were able to offer Gravenberch what he wanted with Klopp’s side undergoing a huge transformation in midfield.
The Dutchman has already started as many games for Liverpool through the first few months of the season as did for Bayern for the whole of last year and he’s also found the net twice in Europe.
And Gravenberch has admitted that he’s enjoying his time at Anfield simply because Klopp has been able to deliver him regular football.
When asked on Viaplay what Klopp’s plan was for him when he arrived, Gravenberch said:
“That it would be quite calm, but I would actually get my chances. That was really the most important thing I wanted.”
But it was his reaction to a question about his time at Bayern compared to Liverpool that Klopp will undoubtedly like the most.
Gravenberch was asked point blank whether Klopp ‘fulfils his promise better’ than the two managers he had at Bayern.
The Holland international laughed before honestly answering: “Actually yes.”
At just 19 years of age, Gravenberch was already running things for the Dutch side in midfield. Liverpool now have a 21-year-old still with room to grow to play alongside Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister in a midfield three that has already shown huge promise.
Klopp will want even more from Gravenberch, but the early signs are promising and he’s already repaying Liverpool’s faith more than what Bayern saw last season.

Luis Diaz returns for Liverpool against Luton despite father’s kidnap
Luis Diaz has been named in Liverpool’s squad to face Luton Town despite the ongoing distraction of his father’s kidknap.
The Colombian returned to the bench for the Premier League game at Kenilworth Road.
Diaz had missed the Reds’ last two games after news broke about his father’s disappearance.
His mother had earlier been returned, and the National Liberation Army (ELN) have since said his father will be too.
Discussing the decision to include Diaz pre-match, Klopp said: “It’s still emotional, but Luis decided three days ago that he wanted to try and train again.
“The football pitch and the training ground is a safe place for the boy.
There he can behave normal, forget a for few minutes what’s going on.
“All the signs he’s gotten are positive [about his dad’s return].
Negotiations are ongoing, but still positive, so that’s why he wanted to be part of the team and could come on.
“He trained well, but nobody can imagine how something like that feels.”
Jurgen Klopp had ealier commented on Diaz’s mental state during the week, saying: “If he feels right, he will be will us.
“You can see he didn’t sleep a lot. The news from Colombia gives us a little bit of hope.
“I cannot say what we will do. It’s up to him, if he makes himself available or not.
“We will not force it. We are waiting together for good news.”
Elsewhere in Liverpool’s line-up there is just one change from their last Premier League match, with Joe Gomez replacing Kostas Tsimikas at left back.
