Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta decided to drop Ramsdale for the match against Everton and included Raya in the starting lineup.
The North London club beat Everton 1-0.
Raya has taken to Instagram to express his delight at making his debut for Arsenal, and defender William Saliba has praised him.
The goalkeeper did not have much to do against Everton.
The Toffees did not really test Raya, but he raised his game when he had to and was very good with his distribution.
Arsenal are fourth in the Premier League table at the moment with 13 points from five matches.
The Gunners are two points behind leaders and defending champions Manchester City.
David Raya could become a big player for Arsenal
Arsenal have UEFA Champions League football this week, and then next weekend, they will face Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby.
It will be interesting to see if Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta decides to keep David Raya in the starting lineup.
Perhaps Arteta did not play Aaron Ramsdale against Everton because he wanted to give him some rest.
Raya is a very good goalkeeper, and maybe in the coming weeks and months, he could establish himself as the first-choice goalkeeper for Arsenal.
