Burnley are closing in on the signing of Leyton Orient goalkeeper on a free transfer, sources have told Football Insider.
The 29 year, is out of contract at the League Two champions later this month and has made up his mind to leave.
Premier League new boys Burnley have made a move for Vigouroux with the two parties in advanced talks as Clarets boss Vincent Kompany looks to add to his goalkeeping options.
Former Liverpool and Tottenham shot-stopper Vigouroux was instrumental in Orient’s success last season, keeping 24 clean sheets in 45 appearances and being named in the League Two Team of the Season.
Vigoroux will provide competition and cover to Burnley’s first-choice goalkeeper from last season Arijanet Muric.
Kompany is understood to be in the market for another goalkeeper before the transfer window closes
Vigouroux was a crucial member of the side that earned promotion to League One last season as he only missed one league match throughout the campaign.
He has played over 150 times for Orient since signing for the club in January 2020.
The young star has formerly played for Tottenham and Liverpool before leaving the Reds permanently for Swindon in 2016, agreeing a three-year deal, where he would then move to Chile to play for Everton de Viña del Mar.
With Burnley starting the season in the Premier League after promotion, it is important Kompany has strength in depth to give his side best chance of survival.
