When the Bucks defeated the Thunder handily on Tuesday, those comparisons were made right away. On the advice of former Lakers head coach Darvin Ham, they celebrated their win by…not celebrating.

I suppose it’s fair to avoid doing what the Lakers did, given how badly things went for them after winning the tournament the previous season.

After winning in Vegas, did they pop some champagne bottles and drink some beer, which caused them to lose a number of games towards the end of December? Most likely not.

What else, though, wasn’t a factor in their defeats following the In-Season Tournament the previous season? When asked why the Bucks wouldn’t struggle after winning the Cup, Bucks forward Bobby Portis said, via Sam Amick of The Athletic, that they were being too Hollywood.

50 Cent once said, “What he say f— me for?” in censored form. And after the Bucks win, why do so many of them talk about the Lakers? Associated After the Lakers won the NBA Cup, Darvin Ham had a lot to say about them.

That portion isn’t too strange because Portis has always voiced his opinions. However, it’s crazy to claim that the Lakers lost games because they were too Hollywood and self-centred.

As part of a run of six of their seven games after the In-Season Tournament, they lost games because they played in Las Vegas on a Saturday, flew home to Los Angeles afterward, and then played three games in four nights less than a week later.
