JUST IN: Angel Reese send a shocking message to Caitlin Clark and his boyfriend after Pacers game with her Fever teammate

Caitlin Clark, one of the most recognizable figures in Indiana basketball since the days of coach Norman Dale and teacher Myra Fleener, was seen courtside with her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, at Monday’s Pacers-Grizzlies preseason game in Indianapolis. McCaffery, the son of Iowa men’s basketball coach Fran McCaffery, is entering his first season as an assistant under Butler’s head coach, Thad Matta, after previously working for the Pacers and playing for Iowa.

The Indiana power couple was joined by Clark’s Indiana Fever teammate, Kelsey Mitchell, who embraced the WNBA Rookie of the Year to the crowd’s delight. Clark and Mitchell are fresh off a thrilling season in which the Fever made the playoffs despite a rough 1-8 start. The two shared team-high honors, each averaging 19.2 points per game, with Clark also leading the league in assists, posting 8.4 per night.

Though the Fever were eliminated by the Connecticut Sun in the playoffs, the 22-year-old Clark now has a chance to rest after a standout season that marked a significant chapter in women’s basketball.

Caitlin Clark is now heading into the offseason, eager to take a break after a long stretch of non-stop basketball, dating back to the start of the 2023-24 college season at Iowa. She has chosen to skip the new 3-on-3 league, Unrivaled, and is instead looking forward to some time out of the public eye.

“It feels like everyone is watching your every move, no matter what you’re doing,” Clark said recently about living under the spotlight. “I’ve tried to stay the same person off the court. It’ll be an adjustment, but it’s going to be nice to step away, live my life, and just relax.”

One activity Clark is excited to dive into is golf. “I don’t know what I’m doing the next day—probably play some golf,” she joked after her postseason exit. “That’s my plan—to become a professional golfer.”

Her love for the sport is no secret. In a 2023 interview with *Golf Digest*, she shared her enthusiasm: “That’s what I was most looking forward to after basketball. I want to stay active, and golfing lets me clear my mind, enjoy something I love, and experience peace—whether it’s with friends or by myself. It’s the perfect escape.”
