Defending champion Alexander Zverev is the top seed in Hamburg and he will face a qualifier in the first round. The German will next take on either Facundo Diaz Acosta or Hugo Gaston if he comes out on top.

Holger Rune is the second seed at the ATP 500 event and he will face Hungary’s Fabian Marozsan in the first round. Argentines Sebastian Baez and Francisco Cerundolo are the third and fourth seeds, respectively, and they will both face Germans in the opening round. The main draw of the Hamburg European Open will commence on Monday, July 15. The quarterfinals will take place on July 19 while the semifinals are set to be played on July 20. The finals are scheduled for Sunday, July 21.
