The 2024 ESPY Awards will be held in Los Angeles, and a few tennis players will compete in one of the categories.

The ESPY Awards is an annual ceremony where athletes from various sports are honored for their excellence. The moniker ESPY stands for Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Award, which shows what the awards really represent.

This year, the mark of tennis players will be significant, as Serena Williams is set to host the event in Los Angeles. As always, there will be a few tennis players in the mix, as Coco Gauff, Novak Djokovic, Iga Swiatek, and Carlos Alcaraz are all nominated.

Alcaraz won 68 matches last year and won numerous trophies, the most prestigious of which was Wimbledon. He also won Buenos Aires, Indian Wells, Barcelona, Madrid, and Queen’s.

Djokovic won 57 matches and multiple trophies. He won three Grand Slam trophies (the Australian Open, Roland Garros, and the US Open). In addition, he won Adelaide, Cincinnati, Paris, and the ATP Finals.

Gauff won her maiden Grand Slam at the US Open and 51 matches overall. Besides the US Open, she also won Auckland, Washington, and Cincinnati.

Swiatek won the most matches out of all four, with 69 and a Roland Garros title to her name. She also won in Doha, Dubai, Stuttgart, Warsaw, Beijing, and at the WTA Finals.

All in all, it’s a tough choice because all four have had a great year, but Djokovic’s won three Grand Slams, which certainly sticks out among all the great achievements.
