The article stated that following his £200,000 transfer, the 16-year-old will have a physical with the Whites the following

week.

According to Sky Sports, the teenager would first join on a scholarship before signing a professional contract that includes a

sell-on clause.

Sky Sports reports that “Leeds United and young Aberdeen player Lewis Pirie have agreed to a deal worth £200,000.”

“It’s believed that the initial cost would be £150,000, with bonuses for success and Premier League promotion. The

agreement also has a sell-on clause.

“Pirie, 16, will have a medical with Leeds next week and join on a scholarship through January 2024 before switching to a

professional contract through the summer of 2026,” Leeds said in a statement.

Leeds supporters have been used to hearing news of the takeover and managerial links in recent weeks, but those issues have

now been sorted, allowing the headlines to be dominated by transfer talk.

Even then, however, the stories have involved player exits from Elland Road, with central defender Robin Koch having

already left on loan to join Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt.

The German could be followed by the likes of Wilfried Gnonto, Tyler Adams, Marc Roca and a handful of others as the

Whites try and raise funds this summer.

But now there is some welcome news for fans as they hear of the signing of Aberdeen ace Pirie, who certainly looks to have a

bright future ahead of him.

The £200,000 fee won’t worry Leeds too much, with the sell-on clause indicating that they expect the youngster to be sold

on for a substantial figure in the future.
