Manchester United’s legendary figure Sir Alex Ferguson has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur will never win the Premier League, speaking to Sky Sports’ Matt Chapman as quoted by the Metro.
For a manager who once said in his pep talk, “Lads, it’s Tottenham”, it is no secret what Ferguson thinks of us. However, things have changed in the Premier League and Manchester United are no closer to winning the league than we are.
The legendary manager was in attendance at Newbury Racecourse this weekend where he discussed about the title chances of clubs this season. According to Ferguson, Spurs don’t have a better chance of winning the title than Manchester United this season.
,
“No, ’61 was the last time they won it, well that’s a long time. The opposition today with Liverpool and Manchester City being so powerful in the Premier League. Even for United now, we’re having to fight.”
Now, Ferguson is very well respected for everything that he has achieved in his career in the Premier League but putting Manchester United above Tottenham in the chances to win the Premier League as things stand currently is maybe a little bit delusional.
As Spurs fans, we are practical. We know that there is a very slim chance of us winning the Premier League this season. However, it would be a stretch of imagination to say that we are never going to win it.

Under Ange Postecoglou, we seem to be making all the right decisions at the moment. The players and the fans have taken to the manager really well and things really look promising for the club. Let’s hope that indeed is the case and we find a way to win the Premier League in subsequent seasons.
