The next player to enter Turf Moor this summer may be Noah Sadiki, a teenager from Belgium.
The Clarets and Vincent Kompany’s former team, Anderlecht, are negotiating a long-term contract for the promising right-
back.
Fabrizio Romano, a dependable transfer expert, estimates that Burnley’s original offer was close to €1 million.
If Sadiki does decide to sign, the Burnley Express is aware that he will probably start out playing for the Under-21 team,
giving Connor Roberts and Vitinho competition.
Sadiki is a right-back by nature, although he can also play on the left or even in a holding midfield position if necessary.
The defender, who graduated from Anderlecht’s academy, has already made 18 first-team appearances at the senior level.
Last year, she made five appearances, including one as a substitute against eventual champion West Ham in October, in the
Europa Conference League.
The Clarets might be able to sign him on a deal that’s not too expensive because his contract just has one year left on it.
Sadiki, who has played for Belgium at the Under-20 level, had previously been connected to both PSV Eindhoven and
Scottish powerhouse Rangers.
The gifted defender came within seconds of signing for German powerhouse Borussia Dortmund in the summer, but the deal
fell through.
Burnley has already brought in four players this summer, including Lawrence Vigouroux and Darren O’Shea, who came
from Leyton Orient and West Brom, respectively.
Jordan Beyer and Michael Obafemi, meanwhile, have seen their loan moves at Turf Moor turned permanent.

Albert Sambi Lokonga close to completing Burnley switch
When Burnley’s elevation to the Premier League was officially announced, they immediately expressed interest in Albert
Sambi Lokonga. The 23-year-old Arsenal star Kompany coached while at Anderlecht is someone he would like to see again.
The Belgian is currently eager to join the Clarets, but a deal is far from being reached.
As Lokonga’s loan to Crystal Palace in January indicated, Arsenal does not need him. The 23-year-old made a promising
start at Selhurst Park, but when Patrick Vieira left, he lost his spot on the team. In the latter part of the campaign, Roy
Hodgson hardly used him because his return to Arsenal was all but guaranteed.
Mikel Arteta does not rely on the Belgian, as evidenced by Arsenal’s interest in Romeo Lavia. The Gunners are eager to sell
Lokonga, preferably on a permanent basis, regardless of whether they sign the Southampton star. By setting their demands
at a price higher than the cost of his purchase, they will also attempt to get a little advantage.
Burnley, meanwhile, is now solely interested in loan agreements. There is hope that a deal with Arsenal might be achieved
despite the fact that they might not have the money for a long-term contract. Since the Gunners are eager to sell the 23-year-
old, a loan with an option ought to work in their favor.
Burnley and Kompany will hope they can seal the deal, as Lokonga could have an important role at Turf Moor. The Clarets
will then focus on bringing in more players with Manchester City’s U21 goalkeeper James Trafford, who faces plenty of
competition.
